Hello. I'm still sick.
I guess the awesome part of today was that I went to see Burn After Reading with a friend and our moms.
Weirdest thing I've seen in a while.
Uhmmm... On the Greek Mythology question, I don't really know which I would be, or whatever. I'm not very well versed on it, don't know much at all really. So I fail on this one. :[
In general, I haven't really had the best sort of week. I've felt like notsome for all of it. Wednesday, though, it got mean, and then Thursday and Friday I completely gave in and stayed home from school. Unfortunately, I now have to make up tests and quizzes for about every one of my classes. Woo timing.
I won't bother you all with a chronicling (is that a word? It is now.) of my depressing/pfft demeanor of the whole kind of week I've been having.
Karen, your story about the kid mistaking you for someone in a younger grade level reminded me of some cases of mistaken identity of my own. Although my accounts are gender related. Allow me to elaborate, as these stories amuse me somewhat.
I guess I have what is considered a deep voice for a girl, so this happens on the phone:
Caller: Hello, yes, is Bryan in? *Bryan=my dad*
Me: No, sorry. Can I take a message?
Caller: Sure. Just let him know that *forgotten name* from *forgotten company or whathaveyou* called.
Me: Okay, I'll let him know.
Caller: Alright. Thank you, sir. *click*
Me: ... lol.
And then, there's the one time my freshman year in my weight training class*.
I'll set the scene. I'm wearing those Tripp pants, ya know, the gothy things with the chains, and my grotesquely oversized gym shirt that with the ingenious use of a scrunchy i sinched it up in the back and made it fit somewhat normally so that I wasn't swimming in it. My hair is long, mid-back I'd estimate, I have an Iggy Pop baseball cap and rather bright purple eye makeup.
Enter random girl.
Random girl: Uhm, like, excuse me?
Me: Yah?
Girl: Are you a girl or a boy?
Me: Well, what do you want me to be?
Best thing ever.
So yeah.
I guess my mom is annoyed because she wants me to clean my room and I'm blogging. She just had me read all of this to her, for who knows why.
So, I guess I had better go.
I would ask a question or propose a challenge but I am rushed now and can't think of one. I'll try for next week.
Later chicas.

"...I wanna go home..."
(Title from Forrest Gump, which I am going to watch on Channel 4 at 9 ;D Like incase you ever wanted to know, lol).
I don't have much to write about, to be honest, and I don't feel like making you listen to me ranting.
Greek Mythology Question
I don't really know many Greek Myths. So I'd like to be Pandora's Box.
Ooohhhh. Yes, and I finished Twilight last Saturday. It was okay, but I didn't particularly like/hate it. Yeah. The girl I usually sit next to (due to alphabetical surnames) is forcing me to buy the second book (which, of course, I have forgotten the title of. I think it's New Moon.)
And LACROSSE IS SO FUNNY. But my mouthguard hurts so bad because I lost my old one, and the school nurse sells them, and they hurt and kill you. Note that I'll be saying "LACROSSE IS SO FUNNY." every week. This is because I have Friday. Friday is lacrosse day. I don't really care that I'm not like uber awesome at it. It's just fun.
And also, this 12 year old* (or lower fourth) asked me "So how are you finding thirds?" (11 years old; the school year/grade you are in when you first join secondary school). And I was like "..I'm not a third. I'm an upper fourth (14 y/o)," with this appalled face. And she was like "Ohh." I mean, has that ever happened to any of you? I was just like "...yeah,", not only because I fail at conversing, but also because I was offended to be called a third.
* - I'm just going to use age because I don't think anyone in the US understands the English education system, no offence.
And here are some random lists, because I feel I haven't written enough
Last thing I dropped: A blue torch
Things I lost this week (Friday to Friday): A bracelet I made when I was eight, my good luck teddy from a friend, mouthguard, about five hair ties, a pair of scissors, chips from lunch (I just have to drop something at lunch apparently)
Homework I have for the weekend: English, Maths, French, Latin, History
Number of toes I have: 10. Hopefully.
Things that have made me want to stab something this week: Friend trying to annoy me, losing my mouthguard, Jane Eyre (How am I meant to know why Bronte called Helen Burns "Helen Burns" minus the fact her hair is red?!), Charlotte Bronte (See before), My German teacher (I'd stab her), my Maths teacher (I'm surprised he hasn't drowned with the crazy amount of hairgel he uses).
Things that have made me laugh hard this week:
1. Katharine (the same person who's going to make me read "Twilight 2"): Look, it says she bled warm blood in The Red Room. What does that tell us?
Me: IT TELLS US SHE'S ALIVE. OKAY?! OKAY, LET'S WRITE DOWN "JANE IS ALIVE." (That's really random but we couldn't stop laughing for so long).
2. Hearing my friend from my old school missed her double DT lesson (two hours) because she thought school was over. Like she thought it was the end of the day.
3. Katharine: You're actually good at lacrosse. I mean, you spin like *woosh*
That made me laugh because 1. Apparently I'm a hurricane now, and 2. I'm not good at lacrosse.
[Trivia: "Hurricane" comes from the word "Huracan," the God of wind or something]
4. A guy goes to the shop and buys 10 neutrons. He asks the shopkeeper, "How much are these?" He replies, "No charge." Ba dum dum pish. Credits to my physics teacher.
5. I don't know how much of a druggie you all are, but I really like the smell of burnt out matchsticks (the smoke stuff that comes off it). So during Chem, my friend kept burning them. As in like seven matchsticks.
Just one other thing, if you like photography, check out Steve Double. Did I write that last week? I really have no idea what mess I right out here. FORGIVE ME :(
I'm slightly high on tea btw.
And thank you for the birthday wishes!
I'm sorry it's been such a messy blog. I WANT TO WATCH FORREST RUN :D
P.S. I purposely haven't replied to anyone's blog entries this week. Do you prefer replies or no replies?
Kay. Bai
Edit: Oh. I forgot to explain the title. Because that's what everyone says on a Friday afternoon.

'Scandal is gossip made tedious by morality.'
Name that quote! Well, the author, that is. Who just so happens to be my favorite author of all time.
Well, first of all, I'm a little upset at the moment because I just returned from the boyfriend's room and was outside trying to find my house key, and I looked up to see a pretty sizable spider weaving a fresh web above the door to my townhouse.
I. Do. Not. Like. Spiders.
So I had a small heart attack and literally jumped through my door as fast as I could get it open. I should warn my roommate about that in the morning since she's the first one out, and I'd hate for her to walk into a huge spiderweb at 7:45 in the morning leaving the house.
Anyways, I'm having a rough week. Rehearsal has been stressful and unorganized, I've got all kinds of first exams coming up, I slept through my philosophy class today because I've been really exhausted since I got up [late, of course] this morning. I don't know why...I think maybe all my stress and lack of sleep is catching up with me. I did sleep a lot today, though, so maybe my bout of insomnia has come to an end. We can only hope.
Well...I think that might actually be it. I want to do the lipsync challenge, but I don't have a camera at the moment. :( But when I can get my hands on one, I'll work on it.
Oh.
No, I haven't subscribed to someone's youtube channel just because I thought they were cute...but I have added people on Facebook for that reason. Not just random people, though. They usually at least go to my school or know a friend of a friend of a cousin or something. You know. The usual.
Okay...well I feel like I should pose a question, since there's not really a whole lot right now. Just so you know, I have this weird thing for Greek Mythology. I may have mentioned that before, I don't know. So for a Greek Myth related question....what character from Greek Mythology would you like to be? Or are most like? Doesn't have to necessarily be a god/goddess or anything. I don't know how much you guys know about this stuff...I'm a pretty huge nerd about it. Hell, by next week, I may have assigned you all Greek personalities whether you like it or not. Ha.
Goodnight, kids. See ya next week.

Rette Mich
Hello dearies. I remembered this week. As usual my title is a current song lyric. Rette Mich by Tokio Hotel. They're quite a lovely band. I'm very happy about their win in the VMAs. Although... they're not really that new. But it's all good. So yes. Here's the song I'm listening to in video form. It's kind of captured my mood of the day.
Obviously, my day has been rather notsome. Oi. It was just like BAM! Bad mood! Let's just blame it on the horomones. I've been completely out of it. Like a zombie. Luckily, during lunch, I woke up enough to see ketchup flying in my direction and shot out of my seat and missed it. Unfortunately my friend Erika got it pretty bad, as well as the other people I was sitting with. This poor girl had it all in her hair. I was rather lucky. Luckily for Erika I had a spare shirt in my locker, but cleaning it out of hers was no fun. Fights are so silly. And if you get in one, please don't throw ketchup. Innocent standerbys don't appreciate it very much.
Besides that I had rehearsal for the original one act I'm in. It was kind of rough. I was supposed to be angry, and I just couldn't find it in me. My director is an angel. I thought she would have chewed me out. But I guess she's feeling the same way, so it was like support group time.
Okay, so challenges.
Childhood memory.
When I was little my older brother [nine year older] used to put a pillow on his head and chase me through the house when I woke him up in the morning. It was quite entertaining to me because he couldn't make it through some of the doorways. Oh the silliness.
Philosophy
I'm not too sure I get this question. So to avoid looking like a jerk and or dumb, I'm moving on.
TV shows
House and lost are my favorite. There's a few others that could sneak in there but those two are probably my favorite.
Punishment
I'm so glad no one suggested eating toilet paper and/or discussing the political situations in Nepal. I don't mind the lipsyncing challenge, the only thing is that you'll have to wait until next week, simply because I'm not up for doing it today, and I didn't do it earlier.
Well lovelies, excuse my lack of enthusiasm. I am so beat. Look for my punishment up on youtube sometime this week. Or you could just go watch the videos I have up there right now if you'd like.
Oh! Before I end this, I did have a question for the group for the week.
Have you ever subscribed to someone's youtube channel just because they're cute? I'm just curious. :D
Well, have a lovely Wednesday chickas.

It's Gonna Be You, Me, and the Dancefloor
It was the song playing on the radio when I got off the phone just now. Oh well.
Today is awesome because...well today was barely hitting awesome. We had a late start today, so that means that school starts at 9:30 instead of 8:10. But I failed a U.S. History quiz, Precalc was insanely boring [more than usual], Physics drug on FOREVER, and in World Religions I got yelled at again by the teacher. Although, it was so boring that I started to text this kid Justin in my class back and forth, even though he sits across the room from me. haha. Oh well.
Since Tuesday, my life hasn't been that exciting. The only really awesome thing was that Sean [the boyfriend] told me what he's getting me for christmas:

They are Bathin' Ape shoes [you know, the ones mentioned in the soulja boy song]. I've wanted [more like needed] them for over a year but they are $150. Especially since the particular kind I want will probably needed to be shipped over from the Japan warehouses [it's a Japenese company]. But I'm super excited about that. :D
As for movies and books, I found the movie for "A Wrinkle in Time" which is one of my favorite books as a kid [although apparently it's not a kids book, but i read it as a kid. hmm]. So I have that, and I'm rewatching Spirited Away for the fifth time. haha. And as for books, I'm reading The Scarlett Letter for Lit [Tyler and I have the same class, different periods unfortunately] and What is the What by Dave Eggers. And whilst I'm reading that, I'm rereading A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers as well. It's tough with the small amount of time I have to read, but I'm trying.
I actually did the lipsyncing challenge but I totally forgot to upload the video, and it takes forever on my computer. But I'll post it next week, I promise. I did it to "Speak Low if You Speak Love" by My American Heart, whom I very much recommend if you don't listen to them. So great.
Okay, well I'm beat, so I'm heading off to bed. I hope everyone is having a good week so far, and just think! Only 3 more days till Friday. :D
DFTBA
P.S. just for the record, i'm sooo Team Vanessa for GG. Yep.

shiny shiny cuff links
Hello lovelies! ;DDD
I got home from work a little while ago and since I'm in a somewhat decent mood I figured I might as well do my blog. Now at least you'll have something fantastic [haha] to wake up to this Sunday morning. <3
I shall start by answering my own question...on philosophies I connect with:
Like Melissa, [both Melissas actually] I've been in Catholic Education for a while, and it's weird because I think that a lot of people who go to Catholic schools don't end up all that Catholic. I love the tradition and oldness of Catholicism, and I love the churches...but that's pretty much where the lovin' stops...my personal views differ pretty greatly from that of the church...but I won't go into that now...
Philosophies I connect with...Buddhism and Daoism are very big things for me. Buddhism because I am a vegetarian and I'm a total pacifist and Gandhi is my hero. Daoism because I love nature and just like...the flow of life. I might seem kind of hectic or stressed sometimes, but usually I just go with the flow...as cliche as that sounds. And while I believe there is a greater being [i.e. God], I don't believe there is some sort of predestination or ultimate plan. I also believe in karma, quite strongly. I'm sort of a mess philosophically.
I have a challenge/proposed punishment for whoever wants to attempt to complete it:
Make a video of yourself lipsyncing [or actually singing, if you prefer] to your favorite guilty pleasure song. :]
As for this past week, it was pretty grand. I got to see one of my favorite bands play live on Wednesday, they're called Vampire Weekend and I absolutely adore them, they played a fantastic show and I highly suggest looking them up. :] I spent Friday with a few of my best friends, driving around and getting icecream and movies and talking and being goofy as hell. And today I saw Burn After Reading, which was weird...I'm not completely sure if I loved it, but I liked it. It was just so weird, and random violence makes me kind of uncomfortable.....
Anywho, Melissa's blog about opinions sort of reflected a part of my day...because I was really nervous to work with this girl at my work tonight, because she always seemed kind of mean/stuck up...but when I got to work with her tonight I found out she is like...the sweetest girl everrr. Yay for that. :]
I did find out that my workcrush has a nonworkgirlfriend. So that is a bummer...but my heart shall heal...eventually. lol
Hummm what else...I have three new movies to watch this week, Paris Je T'Aime, Persepolis, and City of God. The first two are French, the third is Spanish. I'll let you know how they are. :]
I also got the Shins' most recent cd, Wincing the Night Away..it is fantastic, they are another of my favorite bands.
Hmm what else...Books? I'm reading the Scarlet Letter for Literature class, the language is obnoxious, but I like when my teacher explains it. I read a book called the Stranger, it was really interesting, and since it is a French book I told my French teacher I was reading it, so she actually gave me her copy of it [in French], so now I am in search of a french-english dictionary so I can read it properly. It's a really old book [the one she gave me] and it has all these notes in it, I love things like that and it basically made me love that teacher even more because she told me to keep it. <3
Alright I suppose that's about it for today...if I think of something I'll update tomorrow.
OH! PS...
Today is awesome because I get to work with Diondre and Kelly, and I like Sundays.
I feel sleepy. -___-
