Where is everyone? It was good to hear from Mel - I hope you had a good birthday.
And for the rest of you, I'm still hoping you're alive and well.
Oh, and I've learnt that volleyball is actually suicide for your arms/wrist. Why do they use such hard balls? I swear they're like footballs. Like really hard tough footballs. Urgh. They also hurt your thumbs. Nothing like a good ole sport rant.
And we handed in our GCSE subjects today. It's kind of scary now I've hit the point of no return. Like I know I have to just trust that I picked the right things (which I probably didn't, by the way, I think I'm going to get the first B in my school's history) and kind of pull through it. Oh well. You can expect lots of ranting. I wasn't sure whether to do double or triple science. I was definitely going to do triple until my stupid form tutor (she's not that stupid) told me I should do double and Geography. Oh well. What's done is done.
And now I have the lovely weekend to look forward to. Tomorrow shall consist of a lot of sleeping and making clay things, and Sunday shall involve going up to Cambridge to get my brother back down. There's a good cheese market there. And I'll have to slot in homework somewhere.
Oh yeah, I meant to tell you last week. For World Book Day, I ended up going as Little Red Riding Hood (basket and all) and my friend went around as a wolf. The winner was really good. She went as some person out of a Jane Austen book, and she bought like a ten quid dress from Oxfam, a pocket watch and had an umbrella. I can't remember who she was though. High five for the Gryffindor cloak though.
And happy Red Nose Day (if it exists over there). Naturally, my school was all snobbish and didn't do anything. Apparently we've hit the maximum number of mufti days, so that's a shame. But we do a bunch of other things.. like cake sales.. because we lack creativity. Actually, you get that one class who decides to do something really good like hold a pancake race (though no one turned up). Though our lovely school Amnesty club's apparently holding a Secret Policeman's Ball sometime, which sounds pretty good..
So, if you are alive, hope you have a good weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Yar, today's my birthday. I'm 17, woo! And I still don't have a license -__-
Everyone seems to have vanished from the face of the planet. Except Karen.
I'm home now, so that's really nice. I made it home in time for One Act auditions, which went really well.
I got the role of "Mom" in "Drugs Are Bad" whihc is a really fun, albeit short, one act. It's about 15 minutes in length. I'm not complaining, though. It means rehearsals will only go to 4 o'clock. So that's nice.
Today's post will be short, as I have to prepare for the remainder of the day. I gotta shower, then pack some things together, and then load up in the car and head out to Silver Springs to see a Kansas concert with my dad, then go to DeLand to the band property for some birthday celebrations with family, then off somewhere else for the night, and then come home late Sunday. WooHoo!
Well, good bye dears.
Oh, Karen, for the book character question thing: I would most likely be Hermione. Mostly because I have the Griffindor cloak already. That or Violet Baudelaire from Series of Unfortunate Events.
Okay, now post is done

The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread is Sliced Cheese and Low Fat Margarine
No! I have to write an entry! I HAVE TO.
It has been one entry since my last entry. Well this can't be good news. Well, this is pretty much a rant entry because my week hasn't been terribly good.
Bad things this week
(Oh Mel! Glad things are going well for you. And that your ring is uberly pretty. Hope your next post is from home - if you're not at home already)
It has been one entry since my last entry. Well this can't be good news. Well, this is pretty much a rant entry because my week hasn't been terribly good.
Bad things this week
- It's only been sunny for one day (today). I missed the sun a lot. And not only cause it makes my hair a lighter shade of brown, because it makes me happy.
- There's only been one other post! Kind of made me a bit sad.
- We have no more apples in the house (makes me sad, naturally.)
- Why are these bullet points so big? They're bigger than the actual letters.
- We had to do circuits in P.E.. It made me want to die.
- We have a 1km run next week. I may just have to have an asthma attack. Ohh dearr, what a shame.
- The fingerprint system at school sucks. It's not letting me into any entrances to the building. So it was really cold the other day and I just had to wait five minutes to ask someone to use their stupid finger to open a door for me. Maybe I need to practise pressing my finger down?
- I was punished for not talking in class, because my Maths teacher is stupid. If you ever feel like murdering anyone, feel free to murder/stab/shoot/poison/gas/rob/graffiti/egg/light a match at/throw broken glass at Michael Williams who lives in Surrey. Apparently he has a purple car (which of course will not be keyed/scratched/damaged in any way). (I am also not responable for his death)
- I made really nice cakes in Food Tech (but they're so sweet I'm certain they'll give me diabetes. Don't you love how food is the first thing on my good list?)
- We've started doing 'Educating Rita' (Willy Russell) in English. It's really good! The only other thing by Willy Russell that I've heard of is Blood Brothers. E-Rita's a treat for the class because we complained that all the books we had done were miserable (Macbeth, Jane Eyre, Wide Sargasso Sea).
- My friend and I swapped shoes for a week. I like her shoes. They make me look tall (I look like an eleven year old, apparently).
- My Maths punishment wasn't that bad: I had to stand outside the staffroom for half an hour. Not so bad because I pretty much spoke to everyone who passed me, and I managed to see some teachers I needed to talk to. Suffering is optional.
- I got a sticker in History! Yay!!
- I've decided that when I'm like old, and 90, and wrinkly like a raisin, I'm going to make coloured glue sticks.
- It's World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. My question for you: What would you dress up as? If you're at all interested, I'm going as Little Red Riding Hood (gingham cloth and basket included) and my a-lot-taller-than-me-friend is being a wolf (yay!)
(Oh Mel! Glad things are going well for you. And that your ring is uberly pretty. Hope your next post is from home - if you're not at home already)

I just wanna put a bonnet on you!
A quote from myself today. My mom fell asleep while she was visiting me today and she was all snuggled up with my massive teddy bear and baby blanket. It was precious.
Anyway, nothing much has changed from my last post. I'm still in the hospital, but I'm in a different room now, and it's bigger than the cell I was in before, lol.
On a super happy note, my boyfriend came to visit me yesterday when he got out of school, and he gave me a promise ring! I was so happy, and I cried, and it was great, and it's beautiful<3
He stayed at the hospital with me for a few hours and we walked around the first level and explored the awesome little pirate ship playground, the little castle with the little tv playing old school Disney cartoons, and the gift shop, and Andrew bought a tiny magnetic travel chess set and taught me how to play, but he beat me lol. I did well for a n00b though =]
Hopefully I'm going home soon, but I still don't know when soon is. Here's hoping my next post is from home.
That's all I have for today. Hope to hear from you all soon. Best Wishes!
<3 Melissa

You can kill the dreamer but you can't kill the dreams
It seems this week has been the week of disease.
Anyway. There's not a lot to write today, which is a shame really, since this has been the first time in weeks I've managed to write on the right day.
I haven't really done very much over this half term break. I've only met up with friends, but I can't believe a week has gone so quickly!
Hope you all have a good week. Hopefully our post count will be up soon

Let me go in
Let me go in- Quietdrive
Hello hello. It is yet another Wednesday. And although this week has been dragging on and on, I feel like I wrote my last blog just yesterday. Weird.
So guess who's sick? Again. I'll tell you what. My immune system really hates me. =[ It's quite unfortunate.
Tomorrow is Advanced Repertory Theater's first Improv show. I am so nervous. I mean, we've had absolutely no time to put this together. It's been assembly assembly assembly and now all the sudden there's an improv show. It's like it sprang from the ground. Hopefully it will go over well. Keep your fingers crossed for me, okay?
There's not too much else to report on. I've been having my ups and downs all week. I'm such a mess sometimes. But I've got the uncanny knack of being able to pick myself right back up again. Not that I have much choice.
Other than that I've just been hanging out with some pretty cool people. I've gotten into conversations with people I never thought I would care to converse with and talked about subjects I thought would be trapped inside the dark corners of my mind. It seems like the more senior year goes on the less I care. About appearances, image, trying to hold to the one that's put before me. And I've been spending a lot of time just trying to have fun. I'm pretty successful.
Alright girlies. Two more days til the weekend. Here we go!

Gack.
Again, I'm late posting.
But I'm in the hospital again and didnt get my laptop here until after Saturday. Murgle.
So, yeah, my mom decided that I should check in to the hospital because I'm not at my tip-top condition. But she has awful timing. I would have preferred that she wait until today to call me in, but she brought me in on Thursday, and I've been here since.
In effect, I had to miss ALL of the Anatomy of Gray shows, so I don't think I can have my crew role count for the points I need to be initiated as a thespian this year, which means that if I want to initiate this year I have to do crew for the One Acts, in which I really really really wanted to act. I'm not a fan of crew, plus my boyfriend is directing one of them this year since he's a senior, and I thought it would be cool if after auditions I got a role in his. I could talk to our drama director and see if I could do both, since we do multiple shows a night, but we'll see.
Also, I had to spend Valentine's day in the hospital. Andrew and I had this whole plan to spend the day at his house, and he was going to make me homemade alfredo and we'd exchange gifts and watch a movie and then get ready to go to the school for AoG. Buuut instead he had to come up with a friend and give me part of my gift here, and then he had to leave after a while to take his friend to work and stuff. But he got me a ginormous teddy bear, it's so cute<3
besides that there isn't anything really going on.
I don't know what to do about missed posts, so I dunno.
Mur.
I'm off now, gotta find something to drink.

"What the world really needs is more love and less paperwork"
Pearl Bailey (American singer and actress).
I totally forgot about yesterday!! So yeah, sorry to intrude on your day, Melissa. I promise to be quick.
I know I haven't posted for ages, so I'm just basically saying hi, I'm alive, and am reading (the lack of) posts. I have just been busy with school. I've somehow managed to scrape up an average mark for French and German (good mark for me since I've only been doing them for half a year, and the everyone else has been doing them for 1-2 years), a good mark in Chemistry (85% isn't that bad, right? Average was 54%), top mark in Art (More explained later) and A+ in Geography. I'm not failing too badly *Thumbs up.* Only there are more assessments to come (Boo *Thumbs down*)
Oh, and I am cross with a classmate of mine. I was talking to my friend, and she comes up to me and says, "You know, everyone thinks you're a third (Aged 11). You should layer your hair," she said, reparting it for me, "And then cut it, and then get a fringe or something." Firstly, it's rude, and I'd usually forgive her, but she touched and reparted my hair without my permission (pet peeve - why does everyone have this obsession with hair? It's just strands of protein.)
And because this post needs something interesting, this happened last week:
I picked up the phone and the guy on the other end goes, "Hi, is Paul [my dad] there?" And I said "No, he's out. Can I take a message?" And he says "Just tell him his friend John from Uni called [as in they're like old oooolllddd friends]." So I replied "Okay, will do." And then he goes: "Is this Paul's son?"
At this point, I was practially giving him the finger down the phone. He thought I was my brother?! Bad enough people think I'm my sister over the phone, but this is going too far.
Yeah.. Happy V-Day to you all! And happy half term (If you get half term breaks)
(And apologies again, Melissa. I miss blogging!)
P.S. Lysky, I have zilch ideas lol. Cross ye fingers and hope everyone' still alive?

Careful
by Guster. Who just so happens to be amazing.
I am so worried. There's one day between my last post o_o This cannot be a good sign.
Hopefully next week will be better?
I think we should rangle up some ideas to bring this back to life. Anyone got some?
Tomorrow is a day I have been long awaiting. Senior Skip Day. Of course I'm not just going to have an unexcused. I care far too much. Nope. My dad's calling me in with a swollen spleen. XD
"Will you call me out?"
"As what, a skipper? I'm sorry, Alyssa won't be in today because she's skipping."
"I don't know... tell them I have a swollen spleen or something."
"Okay, that's exactly what I'll tell them." and he will.
So I'm going to be spending the day with a fellow nerdfighter in the kansas city area. We probably would never have met if it weren't for the nerdfighter gathering here. And that would be terribly sad.
So in other news my drama teacher went completely CRAZY today. I mean, completely. Right now we're working on sketchs to encourage elementary students on their Kansas State Assessment tests and we only have two rehearsals. One was today. One is Saturday. Well one of the girls in the class can't go to the Saturday rehearsal because she's got college visits so the teacher said no to letting her do the show. So later we're discussing someone else who wasn't present in class who was to play guitar and we decided we'd replace him since he wasn't there and all and there's other people who can play guitar. The teacher FREAKS out that he HAS to be in it. Even though that's completely unfair to the girl. You can't make a rule for one person and break it for another. But she did and in the process she made two girls cry. Later on she also insulted someone while they were on stage. This guy was playing the "Cool guy" and she remarks quite loudly, "Why is he playing the cool guy?" I was like O_O I mean, that's just completely uncalled for. Maybe I'm reading her all wrong, but she lost a chunk of my respect today.
Well. That's all I got for you. I get the rest of the week off since tomorrow is senior skip day. Friday and Monday are teacher confrences. So for the rest of you who don't get a nice break, just take a deep breath. You'll get there soon I promise!

Scalloped potatoes for dinner.
That is my plan for the night. Mmmmm.
I love me some scalloped taters, yo.
So... what's been happening with me?
Uh.
Not a whole lot.
Today was the 10 of 12 for our Spring show Anatomy of Gray, for which I am props crew. so I basically rounded up and organized props and set up the props table backstage, and then sat and did a whole lot of nothing for the next 5 hours, so that was neat. I've just gotten home and have my water boiling on the stove fo mah suppah. Mmm.
In case you were wondering, no, I haven't finished my research paper. Wah. No motivation. Boo.
Student directed one acts are coming up really soon, and I'm excited. I don't know what they're going to be though, so I don't have much to go on as far as what to expect this year.
Uhhhh yeah. Nothing else going on otherwise. My oven just beeped. That's my cue to go.
I hope everyone's doing well and/or better, and hopefully things become a little less hectic fopr everyone as well.
Signing off.

Whoa
That's literally the song I'm listening to. By We the Kings. It's also the sound I make every time I miss my day. I apologize. I've been very sick lately. Apparently I had mono and I'm still kind of sickly. My immune system is shot. But Yeah. I was in and out of the hospital a lot. It was no fun. I also missed every single showing of Beauty and the Beast. =[ I was not a happy camper.
I'm okay now though.
So what else has been going on? Fred Phelps for one. If you don't know him by name he's the crazy guy that protests at funerals and holds up signs that read "God hates fags." he's protesting at a school near me because their homecoming king LAST YEAR was gay. And that's stupid for sooo many reasons. It's really none of his business. Anyway. I'm going to get a group together to celebrate instead of protest. I just don't want to waste my time on that creep.
Besides that I'm trying to find a job. I don't really want one, but I could use some money. Who couldn't? I'm hoping to get hired at a bookstore. I'm eighteen now. So hopefully that'll work out. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Sorry nothing really interesting.... no... I take that back... my life is interesting, but there's not much to elaborate on. Anyway, two more days till the weekend. Hold tight girls, it'll be here soon.

arghh
So, I stayed up until 6am last night...and then had to wake up at 10am...and I can't nap because I have to finish my homework before I go to work at 4pm. So...I'm going to die...basically.
It's super bowl Sunday...but I don't even know like...who is playing...
Life's good, been hanging out with work people a lot lately, and I got to see The Virgins, Anya Marina, and Lissy Trullie on Friday...which was awesome.
Besides that...I'm reading this book called The Zombie Survival Guide, and I'm sort of getting into Buddhism a little bit.
Those are two completely unrelated things but oh well...
I honestly don't really have anything else to talk about...
Here's a picture of Marc Jacobs as Andy Warhol.

Have a good week. ^__^

I love deadlines. I especially love the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.
Unfortunately, that whooshing sound was made the week of January 12, so I'm not loving it much.
But at least I have my blog post up on time (this time!)
Everyone does seem to be really really busy lately.
BAHH WHY MUST I PROCRASTINATE?!?
Right now I'm just beginning to start my junior paper about Douglas Adams. It was definitely due over 2 weeks ago. Thusly, I definitely have an F this quarter in English. I definitely would like to be a senior next year. So I definitely need to get off my ass and do some Googlin'.
I don't know what the crap is wrong with me, it's a maximum 700 word literary analysis, it's only allowed to be one side of the paper, DOUBLE SPACED!!! *sigh* commence kicking me.
What I find strange is that my teacher hasn't even asked me why I haven't turned it in yet, she doesn't even mention them anymore, and I'm pretty sure she's supposed to grade them and return them to us to redo for the final grade. Ugh.
Anyway, I can't blog much today, stuff has been the same, I'm now just trying to motivate myself to get this paper done.
I'll just BS a bunch of it, idc.
As long as I get in in by Monday, I can stop hating myself.
I hope everybody's doing well, or better.
Sorry you were in the hospital Lysky, that's no fun at all, I know X_X feel better!!!
And good luck to you, Chelsea, I hope all is well for everyone.
Tyler, YAY ANIME CONS! I'm hoping to go to MegaCon this year, if I has moneys for it.
DFTBA everyone

"The serial number of a human specimen is the face"
Milan Kundera. I stole his quote to use for my Art project.
Just a quick note saying I'm still alive! January is just very busy for me, partly because this half term is so short: only two more weeks to go, including three essays, three language exams (oral, reading, grammar), a Maths challenge, PE performance (cue groan) and a Chemistry practical.
Tyler - Pokemon ftw! Welch's grape juice just always reminds me of the German word "welches" (what/which). I don't know why, it just made a weird connection in my mind.
Chelsea - Good to hear surgery went well. Hope it's all okay. I'll keep sending good vibes
Mel - Wow, grats on the good grades. A talking apple tree sounds awesome. Curious Case of Benjamin Button! I plan to see that next month
Sorry for the lack of activity. Hope you are all okay!

and all the styrofoam, began to melt away
I hope everyone is okay...especially Chelsea and Bengi, I know both of you are going through tough times right now.
I don't have much to post really, I'm in a rather somber mood.
I'm not really sure where I'm at in my life right now, or where I'm going...
But what I do know is that Welch's grape juice is delicious and iTunes Genius is, in fact, genius. January is a really really fast month. Also Reefer Madness the movie musical is really really creepy, and probably not the best movie to watch at three in the morning. Trippy dreams.
And...I may be attending an anime convention in March? I don't know if anyone would get excited about it like I am [THERE WILL BE POKEMON!]....but yeah.
Well...this was boring...sorry. Hopefully we'll have more than two postings next week! I am partially to blame, sorry :/

What a week.
So I'm late, I apologize.
I'm also not actually going to post anything, because I haven't been sleeping much and I'm totally wiped, and I'm going to try and go to bed even though I probably won't sleep anyways. Sigh.
I may do an update post on my personal blog tomorrow. I'm still waiting to find out the details on Jordan's tumor - we know its cancer just not exactly what kind. Fortunately he came out of surgery well and I'll be seeing him tomorrow.
Okay. Night girls.

I Win at Failing
I don't know why I am incapable of posting on Saturdays anymore.
It's not that I can't. I'm perfectly able to. It just keeps slipping my mind. Sowwie -__-
Ummmm.
Finals week just ended. I'm rather positive I passed with As on my Spanish, Photography, and Algebra 2 finals. Got a B on my Chemistry final, but an 89% B. It angers me. But hey, at least I passed. Yay.
I'm worried about my English 3 final though, since I guessed pretty much the last half of it. I wasn't in school when we read The Crucible, and we watched the Scarlet Letter rather than reading it, so that was confusing. Also, I never turned my junior paper in due to the fact that I hadn't started it yet. So I have to turn that in for late credit. Woo.
My Drama final was at least fun. The first third of that was the performance part, which was performing my two monologues, and the second third was the written portion which was easy enough. The last third was putting together/handing in our portfolios. It's only my second year being in drama, so I had never made one before. It was fun though, and on the grading rubric for it I got a 48/50, not bad for my first time. Yay.
Pretty soon I and a few other Drama kids who volunteered to are going to perform a cute little 10 minute play for some kids at a local elementary school. I'm a talking apple tree. I am so excited, you don't even know.
Also, if you're in the mood for a cute tearjerker movie, I saw the Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night. I liked it a lot.
Ideal Proposal?
I really have no clue. I do know that however it's done, I give points for creativity, individuality, and the surprise factor. Sounds cute.
Again, Sorry!!!! My mind's all over.
Good vibes to Chels and everyone, amd a good rest of the weekend to all<3

'I could never get the hang of Thursdays."
Name that quote!
Okay, so, here's the deal.
I found out on Tuesday that my boyfriend of just over a year has a brain tumor.
Yeah, I know.
What happened was this: He had gone to the doctor over winter break to go back on his ADD medication. While he was there, he told his doctor that when he stands up, he frequently gets dizzy and has to wait a minute before his vision clears. Not that worried, they did some blood work and an MRI, just in case. Well, much to everyone's surprise, they found a tumor. Its made his brain swell so he's on medication to make that go down, and on Tuesday he's going for another MRI. Then on wednesday he's having a biopsy to find out if the tumor is malignant or benign, and if possible, they're going to go ahead and do some surgery to see if they can get some, if not all, of the tumor out. Fortunately, the tumor is in a part of the brain that usually heals quickly and normally, and the only thing it could affect is his basic motor skills, which can be re-learned through therapy if needed. No affecting his speech or movement or mental capacity, thank god.
So that's what we know right now. Its been a rough couple of days, and any thoughts/prayers/good vibes/whatever you can send our way would be much appreciated. I plan to keep blogging as much as I can, and I'll let you guys know what happens.
I don't mean to bring your days down or anything, sorry. I just thought you all should know in case I go missing or something.
Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend, and I plan to see you next week.

Real fast
ZOMG! I have no time! EEK! And I had so much I wanted to talk about. Welll... I'll make a better post on my personal blog tomorrow. Or at least I'll attempt to.
Okay, so really fast, new news=
My dad now knows I have a girlfriend. He's cool with it. Which is good. Apparently he 'experimented' back in the day and I was like "oh... Oh... OH!" and yeah. It kind of freaked me out. But the point issss I've got another person down. Which also means that all my really close family knows. Woot.
I've been feeling kind of gross lately, but now I'm on a strict diet of happy music and good things. My faja says me being sick and such is just me missing Piph. That girl is making me sick. But my health is slowly getting better. I feel slightly more enclined to get up in the morning.
Except for the cold floor. ZOMG. It is sooo cold in the midwest. I have suddenly remembered why this is my least favorite holiday. Just a few more months right?
I can never decide if I want time to go fast or slow. Sometimes I'm screaming "Get me out of here, now!" but other times I'm like "Oh dear... I need to do something productive and fast or I will fall on my face." it's an interesting period of transition. :/ and I'm kind of nervous. Does every senior feel like this or am I just filled with more anxiety then the random 18 year old? I wouldn't doubt if I did. I stress waaaay too much. I should have made it a new years resolution to work on it. But I didn't.
How about mid- January resolutions instead? I will not stress as much.
Your turn girls
What would be your ideal wedding proposal?
okay... umm... I've never been a girl to think about my wedding. Never. Not even when I was a little kid. It always seemed so far away and foreign. Even now the subject doesn't hold much meaning to me. I mean, I love it when other people get married. But it seems years away from me. I think if it was done in a way that completely took me by surprise. That would be cute.

$293.06
^ My thankgodihavesomemoneytopayforinsurance paycheck.
imum wage is the best!
Anyhow, it's 2am and I'm listening to the Bloodhound Gang. I worked all day, then saw Bride Wars [it was so good!]. Which leads me to my question of the week:
What would be your ideal wedding proposal?
In the movie Anne Hathaway [my fashion soul mate] is proposed to via fortune cookie and it was adorable and I've always wanted to be proposed to that way. ;DDD
Bengi - mehh I'm so sorry about your loss, I saw on facebook... sending virtual love your way...
Melissa - WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? :P
Lysky - happy birthday!!!! I'm singing a strange made up version of the birthday song to my computer right now...
Chelsea - hope your mom feels better!
Karen - uhhmmmmm I'm probably at least as indecisive as you, if not more, so follow your nonexistent heart?! or pick the school with the bigger library :]
Melissa -mehh both Melissas are absent. bummer. hope all's well.
Alright sooo currently, work is good, school is good, and I'm auditioning for The Fiddler on the Roof tomorrow! :D This is my first musical so I'm kind of nervous. I'm trying out for Tzietel, but I'd love to be in the chorus. Also, I might talk to the director about the student director position, because I love musicals and I really want to be involved in it this year, but my voice isn't exactly super strong and I haven't really been on stage in a while...
Besides that, I really want to try fencing, I don't know why but I do.
In other news, I got two new nail polishes, one is a Margo-esque dark red and the other is a shimmer dark blue. Nail polish makes me happy.
Also I'm reading The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. I wasn't sure how I would like it but it's actually quite interesting. After The Jungle I really want to read Angels and Demons because my friend described it to me and it sounds fantastic.
Alright well hope everyone has a great week! <3

Optimist - someone who, when finding himself in hot water, decides to take a bath
I quoted that quote in gym today (Sorry, I've totally forgotten the source). Because I suck at gym, I paired with someone else who sucks at gym. My friend, because she is normal, was miserable ("It's gym, urgh, I'd rather die,"), so I said this quote. Naturally, we ended up taking the piss out of the gym lesson. Yay!
So this week has been a tad hectic for me, despite only going to my current school for two days (they only went back yesterday).
Basically, like rightbefore Christmas, another school offered me a place (I spent Mon-Wed there for like "taster" days). Not only is this at the most annoying time (way to disrupt my holidays), but it's also made me have to make a really hard choice! (Lots of venting ahead, skip down to the bottom if you don't want to read it.)
I am the most indecisive person ever. Pros of my school now are friends, no swimming (a general hate of mine), I'm not that new, meaning I know places/teachers/the way the school works (despite the joys of being nicknamed "Newbie"), the people are wittier/funnier, the pupils are a bit brighter (thus lessons are faster paced and more "crammed" - which I like). There's nothing wrong with it. Apart from the fact it costs £7,000 a year (~$14,000), including forms of scholarships. Everything else about the school I either like or don't mind. There aren't a lot of things I have a problem with.
Pros of this other school are that my sister's there, and that it's free. Eventhough money isn't everything etc, it feels as if I'm saying no to £7,000 - maybe something only a madman would do. The bus journey is a lot longer - up to an hour on the bus, and I can't sit still for twenty minutes. Though one of my old best friends is at the school round the corner, so I'll at least have someone on the bus to moan to. I'm not a big fan of the school's uniform - blue shirt, blue jumper, pleated blue skirt (Don't you just love the colour contrasts?). I'm kind of tired of being the newbie as well. The kids aren't as bright, the lessons aren't as testing (something I like 'cause I'm a nerd and all). Oh, right, the my classmates aren't as funny, but they're nicer (not that my "now-friends" aren't nice, it's just the fact these other people are like. Tres sympa.)
Unfortunately, my mind's a little too strange and believes humans can get used to anything. Even misery at school.
But there's nothing that's pushing me towards either side. I just want one school to tell me they don't want me studying there; that would just solve everything.
And people are like "Oh, just go with your heart, dear." Well, I apparently don't have a heart. It's been missing since the day I failed to make decisions. If money weren't the issue, I'd obviously stay at my current school. But money is an issue, and I am prone to guilt - I'm not a big fan of spending other people's money, even my parent's.
So I am pleading for help. How would you pick? If you're feeling nice (crosses fingers) please stick it in a comment (speaking of comments, sorry I haven't really commeneted on many).
Also, anyone else noticed the amount of posts we're getting per week? It's all seven posts a week 'till it's like the end of September, when it all goes to fives and fours. Just a little thing I found entertaining ;) On a good note, look! Blogger's now catorgarised our posts as 2008/9! Yay!
Ah, and book updates. I'm still only on the third Harry Potter book. Almost there, though. I spent the last two days reading 'The Wide Sargasso Sea' by someone whose name I've forgotten. It's like a spin off of Jane Eyre - it's the story of Bertha, Rochester's first and mad wife in the attic. I thought it was really good, so I recommend it if you've read Jane Eyre.
Hope y'all have a good weekend
(And sorry for the venting post.)
(P.S. Lysky! Sorry, I forgot to comment on your post. Happy birthday! Grats with the knee socks, haha)

Busy busy.
So one of my best friends that hasn't been home in a year came home this week, so we've been a little busy with catch up time, which is why I'm late. But I'm here!
This'll be short again, I'm sorry, but my mother is deathly ill and I have to get up at an ungodly hour of the morning to take my brother to school. Sigh.
I keep meaning to update my personal blog more, in case you guys...like...really miss quasi-entertaining posts from me and want to read something more fleshed out...but I'm failing at that too.
Actually, I think once class starts back I'll do better. I'm incredibly thankful I'm not in the next show so I'll have my nights back for a little while, and once I get back into a [sort of] routine, it'll be easier to sit down and do this. Good thing too, because I'm insane and just signed myself into a vlogging deal with some people. Something is wrong with me, I'm sure of it.
But anyways, hope you all had a FABULOUS holiday!

15 Steps
I have been obsessed with Radiohead lately. I've always been in love with them, but I'm on a radiohead spree lately. If you haven't heard their albumn In rainbows yet, I would suggest you take a listen. It is absolutely fantastic.
So happy 2009 girlies! We seem to be lacking in posts lately. It makes me sad. :[ I'm still here though, promise. :]
So far my new year has been alright. Piph went back home on the morning of the sixth. It was kind of a sucky day :/ but I have some really awesome friends who've got my back and they've been cheering me up when I get down.
Beauty and the Beast is coming along very well. The orchestra is getting fine tuned and we just started using the fly system today. I'm so jealous that I don't get to fly in on cables. One of the girls in the wolf pack with me gets to jump on someone and then fly off, I'm so jealous! I want to fly through the air! But oh well. :[ I'll get over the disapiontment.
Second Semester has been rather well two. My schedule now has me going back and forth to the theater department every other block. It's no joke.
On A days I have:
Orchestra
Advanced Repertory Theatre
English
Tech Theatre
B days:
Precalculus
drama teacher assistant
American Government
drama seminar
Unfortunately all the classes that aren't in the theatre are all the way across the school. It is a long walk. D:
Speaking of said classes. American Government is my new class this Semester... one of them. And my teacher is a total frat boy. I'm not just making assumptions here. He really was a fraternatiy boy. I have a feeling that me and him will bump heads on a few subjects. But strangely enough, I'm eager to have a go. Sometimes I really like to argue.
In other new news, my birthday was on Sunday. I am now 18. It feels wierd to say that. It makes me kind of sad too. I rather liked 17. It was a nice number. Besides, I no longer have the right to sing Seventeen Forever by Metro Station. XD I guess I could. The lyrics are "you won't be seventeen forever" hmm... It was a rather un-eventful birthday though. No cake. I got some really awesome knee socks from my almost sister Lauren. :] what a sweetie! I was really disapionted though because I got this small box. And I know my dad says no car, but it was the perfect size for car keys. Unfortunately I should have listened to myself. It was ear rings. They're pretty. But still... they won't drive me around. Oh well. At least I mostly escaped the birthday song. :D I only had a few people sing it and I only knew two out of the four or five. So that's not too tramatic. :]
Have a good rest of the week Girlies.

It was a gift from Tori Amos!
Uhh so the new season of Flight of the Conchords is starting soon! The first episode aired on Funnyordie.com last week and it's brilliant. Basically Bret and Jemaine own my life.
Uhh so this week was good. I went to the mall with my friend Rachel the other day and bought this skirt:

Basically, I love it. We also went to see Four Christmases, which was awful, but Reese Witherspoon's Louboutin shoes made it slightly watchable.
Also I got this book, Fashion Illustrations by Fashion Designers, and I love it. It's just a bunch of sketches by famous designers like Chanel and Givinchy.
Mehh I don't have much else to say...
I realized I never did my own ten things challenge so here you go:
1. In my head, I often imagine life as a musical, i.e. people singing, dancing, etc.
2. I love Shakespeare, I wish people still talked that way.
3. I have a guitar named Jude and a saxophone named Sedgewick.
4. I would move to India just for the food.
5. I'm currently trying to plan a trip to New York City for the summer.
6. I plan to get there by train.
7. I've always kind of wanted to be famous.
8. I own bongos.
9. I think Doctor Frankfurter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show is oddly attractive.
10. I want to fly to Morocco.

OH MY GOD I AM SORRYYY!!
So, I've failed miserably on the blog-when-you're-supposed-to front, and I apologize. Two of my Saturdays were spent in Pittsburgh at my grandma's house, and she doesn't have a computer, so blah. And I forgot yesterday because I had a fail moment. Bunch of confusion over who was spending the night at whose house. So now my friend Josie is asleep on my bed at the moment.
Anyway, I had a pretty awesome Christmas, which was to be expected. I love going to Pitttsburgh so much. Pretty much the whole population is in some way part of my dad's side of the family. It's crazy, and I'm still crazy tired from it.
Every. Day. Is. A. Party. Literally. I think there was only one night that wasn't spent at another relative's house until 4 the next morning. But it's so much fun, especially my cousin Keith's new wife whose name I can't spell because she's Vietnamese, but it's pronounced like "twee." She's so cute and fun and friendly, she fits right in ^-^
On to other stuff.
10 facts about me:
-1. I have Cystic Fibrosis. It's not too bad, I guess it's like super asthma, at least that's how I end up describing it to people who've never heard of it before. lol
-2. I have two little sisters who look nothing like me, as I am the only really dark brunette out of the three of us, and I'm also the only one out of my sisters and my parents with green eyes, everyone else has some shade of blue. I'm the oddball =]
-3. I like to collect books. Usually on some obscure topic. Pirate Primer, Guilded Tongue, etc. I just really like random books. And books in general. I always end up spending the most money when I go to some bookstore as opposed to anywhere else.
-4. I spend a lot of my time on the internet researching pets I wish I could have in case of the event that I magically acquire such animal. I look up things like breeds, care, pictures, stuff like that. Most recent was horses. There have also been a lot of searches on German Shepherds, rats, Muntjac deer (oh my god do a Google image search, they're 100% pure concentrated cute), rabbits, hamsters, snakes, blah blah blah. I'm silly like that.
-5. I firmly believe that the name Andrew increases the chance of the male with that name to grow up and have great hair. Really. Magic name. But I know 5 andrews and they all have really nice hair. My dad's friend looks like hippie Jesus.
-6. One of my like goals is to be multilingual. I want to become fluent in Spanish (I wouldn't care so much, but I live in Florida, and last time I was in Miami it was un poco loco), French, Japanese, German, and Italian. Also, how cool would it be to learn Elvish, like from LotR? *nerdalert* hah!
-7. I love gift wrapping. Whenever Christmas rolls around, I'm always running around my house looking for the wrapping paper, and hoping we dont have any so I can run to Target and get some really pretty pattern, and those bow things. Damn I love those. Also, we just bought that Scotch brand wrapping paper cuttter-stick thing and the tape dispencers that straps to your hand. Thay're so cool!!! AHH!
-8. I actually think I'm somewhat psychic. I don't know. Sometimes I think I get these weird premonitions, and then it happens. Like on Christmas Eve, I had a dream that my boyfriend got me a photo album, and then when I opened his gift the next morning, yeah, photo album. It was cool. And when people are talking, and then pause because they're thinking of what to say next, in my head I end up thinking of a word that might fit what they're thinking, and then that's the word they end up saying. It's weird. Eh, call me supersticious.
-9. I love sushi. I mean it. I really. Love. Sushi. My boyfriend took me out for sushi dinner like 3 nights in a row this week. He loves me ^-^ plus he loves it as much as I do, yay! My favorite has to be unagi. I love me some eel. Hot rock is pretty bomb too.
-10. I would love to be a bartender, only because you get to mix stuff together. I'm the person who goes to those fast food joints where you get your own drink from the fountain and procedes to mix every one together in the cup. It always tastes like Dr. Pepper in the end. When I was younger, too, I asked for a Proffessor Snape Potions Set because I wanted to make potion drinks and stuff. I dont know if we still have it, but I hopw we do, because I'm feeling nostalgic.
Food:
Good tie between Chinese/Japanese cuisine and Italian. I love me some pasta and mozzarella caprese, but everything tastes better with chopsticks.
What did I do for New Years?:
Andrew and I went to our friend Tony's place, which is out in the middle of bloomin' nowhere and played Left 4 Dead and Halo, watched some random YouTube vids, and lit off some commercial grade mortars, which was awesome. At one point, the neighbor's dog bolted out right after Andrew had lit one of the mortars and it knocked the canister over, but thankfully it shot in the opposite direction of where people were standing, so it was all good. Later that same dog tried to eat the flames coming out of one of the fountain things. It was quite lol. The dog's fine, btw. It was one of those flame-retardant breeds, I guess.
Yay, presents!:
I got some pretty cool things. From Andrew I got a really awesome scarf with the Hogwarts crest on it, with scarlet and gold striping and fringe, and straberry Sally lipbalm, from the Nightmare Before Christmas, and a photo album for us to keep adding to. It's so sweet<3
From "Santa" I got Horton Hears a Who and a special edition DVD of the Nightmare Before Christmas, Brain Age for my DS, Ferrero Rocher candies (*squee!*) a hairbrush, and a bunch of mint-based Burt's Bees suff, which smells like happiness on a spring morning.
I got this really awesome photo book full of prints but Life photographers, and some of the pictures you can actually take out of the book and frame if you want. Pretty awesome.
Some of my favorite gifts that I gave were this giant fuzzy blanket that I got my boyfriend, a Buddha box for my best friend that was really neat looking, and for my dad I got a 4-disk DVD set of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Woot woot!
Okay, I think I got it all. Sorry to have kept missing my day like that, and now sorry for intruding on Tyler's day -___- I fail, but I won't anymore, promise!
DFTBA~~

"I feel trapped! Like a moth in a bath!"
Just a quick note, I don't have much time!
Hope you all have a good 2009!
(Will try to write a proper comment next week)

The first post of '09!
So I'm a little late, I apologize. I'm at the boy's house and we went to a late movie, and then had some Mythbusters watching/cuddling/etc time. You know.
So I don't have christmas present pictures yet, and I'm also extremely tired, so this won't exactly be long-winded. But I will tell you that The Spirit is not as bad as its reviews [Samuel L. Jackson makes it though, that is true] Twilight is not worth your time or money [read my rant on my personal blog] and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is definitely contending for best movie I saw this year.
And now I'm going to sleep. Its 3 in the morning. Hope you all had a FABULOUS new year!
