Forgot My Camera

Hello, and happy Saturday to ye!
Well, I don't have a lip sync punishment video because I'm a chronic procrastinator and put off making one and today I'm staying over at my friends house and I forgot to bring my camera.
So I'll have one up next week, pinky promise. Or alternatively, you now all have another week to suggest another punishment I can do. So there.

So lot has been going on with me, kind of.
My boyfriend and I broke up. It's complicated. I basically couldn't keep up with the long distance relationship, and I really wasn't feeling it and all this other stuff and it's weird.
But long story short I'm back together with my ex but I'm really happy, like happier than I've been in a long time.
But enough about my love life.

School's been going rather well. I've been maintaining As and Bs in all my classes, which is good because grades go in next week.
I'm finally off-book for Brave New World, which is good. The play is coming along nicely, and I'm really excited for opening night. Also, I may be going to districts with our troupe in December as work crew, which should be a lot of fun.

In other and more exciting news, next week (if all goes according to a plan still in the works) my Nerdfighter friend Josie (who I am currently hanging out with) and I are going to go to Orlando to see John Green for the Paper Towns tour for her birthday, and then also going to Seaworld.

I went to Barnes and Nobles yesterday and totally scored xD I think I should become a member... Anyway, I bought two copies of Paper Towns, one for Josie's birthday present and one for myself, my own copy of AAoK (I was borrowing Josie's), Let It Snow, and also The Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe (or something to that effect). Oh, and I got a Shakespearean insult mug. Yeah, that's right. It totally pwns.

And I have recently decided I want to take piano lessons. No reason, really. I've always kind of wanted to. Especially after watching Corpse Bride. But no less, I want to make pretty music.
Ha.

Let's see if I can remember the questions I was supposed to answer...

Palin/Biden:
"I can see Russia from my house."
That's all I've got to say about that.

Favorite and/or Dream Shoes:
I'm not that big of a shoe person.
But I really like these.
Photobucket

Get-out-of-PE Excuses:
Back in middle school I just "forgot" my uniform, but generally with my CF and everything my gym teachers tend to take it easy on me. I hate using it as an excuse to get out of stuff but if I'm feeling particularly like I really dont feel up to running or whatever I'll say I'm having breathing issues, which is usually the case anyway that makes me not feel like running.
Otherwise last year when I had my manditory-for-graduation PE class we played DDR all the time so it was fine.

Do sweets have a distinct smell?
I don't have a strong sense of smell to start with, so I don't really know. lol.

Not-very-well-known-but-good-bands?
The Comic Book Heroes, definitely. The drummer, Colin, is a friend of my dad's. They're a really great band, their music is like classic rock style.
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=37796073
That's their MySpace.

And this was their television debut.
Haha.

I believe that's it... If not then I'll cover whatever I missed in my next one.

I oughta post this before it's not technically Saturday anymore.

Bye, chicas!

"We just didn't give a crap. We did things our way, and we had a hell of a good time doing it."

Following on from the title/quote theme thing. That quote just made me smile.

And this is a brief warning, I think this will be a long entry, because I don't have anything to do for once :D

I'm not really in the mood for typing, partly because I'm having trouble typing today, apparently. And spelling. I apparently can't spell "Alexandria." The proof is one whole line of crossed out variations in my Latin book.

Oh! And I keep meaning to do this. I've read a bunch of books (alliteration, must be true) recently including The Book Thief (Marcus Zuzak I think). Has anyone else read it? Because basically, it says on the front "International bestseller", but I don't think I know anyone who has read it. I'm reading "Bridge to Terabithia" because I cried in the film (Because that's the wuss I am, but I didn't see it in the cinema, I saw it on DVD) and I heard lots of people say the book is better. And if you've read B-to-T, is it good? I've only read like the first two pages.

Oh my gosh, and HAPPY HALF TERM! Or mid-term? Not sure what you call it, but mine starts today! My day was actually pretty good anyway. But yeah. If you start next Friday (like a week today) then have a good week :)

Okay. So today was good...

Because I scored a goal in lacrosse! That made me uber happy because people play at like national levels and I managed to score one of the three goals. Haha. You're probably all like "Dude, I score goals in netball/someothergame all the time," but I suck at P.E.. Even that is an understatement. And I hate netball, which we have to do next term :( Speaking of P.E., I discovered that rugby is like the most violent sport ever. But I'm putting it down next year anyway, heh.

And because today was mufti day. You guys don't have mufti days, or at least I don't think so. But it is the best way to raise money for charity, because no one's gonna say no. Especially when your uniform is a mess of grey.

And because we had a cover teacher in History. My History teacher, Mr Christmas (no joke, I swear) 'speaks' so loud I think I'm going to be deaf by next year.

And because we finished Jane Eyre today. HURRAH. We did an essay on it to finish off. We're now onto Macbeth, which I know NOTHING about apart from the boil/trouble/double poem thing the Witches chant. I don't know how I know that.

And because we saw (part) of Juno in RS. I love that film. If you haven't seen it, GO SEE IT *Thumbs up*

And because I fell into a hole in the ground and laughed for five minutes straight.

And I'm happy...

Because I'm looking forward to Halloween. I'm taking in ideas what to dress up as, or like as a theme with three other people. We did The Potter Puppet Pals last year, song included.

Because I'm looking forward to see 'The Boy In Striped Pyjamas' on Sunday, which also means I get to see my old school friends. I miss them to much, but I'm also liking my new school. If you've seen it, tell me if it's good. It's meant to be really sad, as well.

And because eventhough we had LOTS of tests this week (trampolining, German listening, German writing, French oral, mock Maths, Chemistry, French vocab, Latin vocab, Latin grammar), I really couldn't care less about my marks. Haha, yes, you can tell what kind of a student I am!

And because I know that I've survived being new for one half term, an eighth of the year, and knowing that I won't die for the rest.

And because I saw the Season Finale of Ugly Betty yesterday. And that Heroes is awesome and scary but thrilling and amazing all at the same time. A bit like school.

And I always mean to post/reply to comments, but I so often forget, so here they are.

Chelsea - Architecture in Helsinki *are* fabulous. I also love the phrase "music rut." And I don't mind your late posts, because you're being happy instead :)

Lysky - I really like your print. Wowww. (Haha, that's how much it stuns me). Oh, and your reply to my post last week actually made me laugh. No offence or anything. It's the sort of thing I'd imagine stand up to be about, haha.

Melissa - Your post made me smile. Actually, a lot of posts do, but I just definitely remember smiling at yours.

Bengi - Aw, yay. You must have raised so much money. Yeah, your post also made me smile. John Green is awesome *Thumbs up. Again*

Tyler - Oh, I hope you're better. We should make a cult full of people who hate P.E.. And yay, someone agrees with my candy theory! And go Ugly Betty! And I love the book Where The Wild Things Are. And I also love soft socks. I only read your edit today. My thoughts go out to your friend.

Mel - Your post made me smile, haha. Even it that wasn't intentional. And oof (pronounced "oof"), poor you. I think humans should eventually evolve so we don't have to breathe. Actually, I only half wish that.

This post has gone on for about an age, so I'll draw it to a nice close. Eventually. /insertevillaugh.

Okay, no, really. I will. If not, just like make me shut up next time. Post a comment on this if you think I should stop rambling earlier, cause I will :D I bet you're all starting to find a tie to hang yourself with cause this is so long.
English black humour. Yay.

Oh! It's my friend's birthday in a bit so I'm asking ideas for presents. So my challenge is, if you want to, what's the
best present you've ever given, and the best one you've ever received. I'll post mine next week.

And for the shoe challenge, those converses are one of the shoes I'd like to have. They're not expensive or anything, but I just really want patterned converses. Omg, or yellow ones. Because yellow is the colour of endorphines. I used to have these adorable little red shoes when I was like four. I loved them so much! They're like exactly the same as the pair on the book "Hannah's Gift," which is also an awesome but incredibly sad book. Go read it.

And also, I did this dyslexic test thing on Wednesday. It's not because I'm suspected to have dyslexia, but it's just one of those things school makes everyone do. I took so long on the test I think they'll think I'm dyslexic anyway. It's not because I didn't know the answer, it's because I kept forgetting the questions. Like there was this really annoying 1994-BBC-English audio to go with it, so you can't read the questions, you only hear them. And I kept forgetting what to do! They should really make a repeat button.

And also, my school's getting rid of swipe cards, yay! Instead they're using finger prints, like you'd "swipe" a finger, which is quite scary but also kind of exciting. At least for me because that's the strange little nerd I am.

And my last discovery today was that my friend was/in the film Love Actually, which is also a pretty good film. Just not as good as Juno. She's one of those little kid who the Prime Minister sees at the door when he's looking for Natalie.

And this is WAY to long. I'll make a short one next week. Hope you had and will have a good week!

Edit: Oh! And I really need your help. I have like ZILCH self confidence, I'm not joking. We did some physics revision thing and it had this confidence scale, underconfident to over. And I was like bang on the bottom. Alliteration, must be true. This isn't a challenge, but if you'd like to, suggest ways for me to be more confident. Cause I actually do stuff better when I say (and lie) I can do things. Like in Lacrosse, my friend literally told me to tell myself I could do it, and I did. And in trampolining, everyone said that as well. So yeah. If you're like feeling nice. And this is way to long, bye!

I'm late, but I'm here.

I mean, at least I'm posting. Better than I've been doing lately.

Anyways, I'm late because of 1)rehearsal, 2)improv show, and 3)some much-needed alone time with the boy. So, sorry.

So tonight for rehearsal we watched this movie called The Magdalene Sisters. You may have heard of it, it came out a couple years ago or something. God, talk about a soul-crusher. NOT a feel good movie, but it was incredible. So if you're ever in the mood for a movie like that, I would highly recommend it. Incredible.

In other news - I'm pretty happy because my Marketing class is cancelled tomorrow, which means I don't have class until 11. AND my Philosophy exam got pushed back until Monday, so I definitely took a break from some work tonight. Its been nice. I've got two exams and a paper due next week, but until Sunday I'm refusing to think about it. I'm taking this weekend for myself. No rehearsal, no work, no nothing. I cannot wait.

Okay. Lets just talk about shoes. Man, you are about to see a true shoe fanatic at work. I hope you're prepared.

Probably my favorite shoe designer at the moment is Christain Louboutin. You know, the ones with the red soles? Granted, just ONE shoe, not even the pair, is about 5 of my paychecks. But hey, a girl can dream. [cries for the website being under construction]

I have a serious thing for stilettos. Those are just some of my most recent favorite Louboutins. Believe me, I could go on forever.

I would also KILL for a pair of classic Chanel pumps. God.

On a slightly cheaper note, there were bunches of shoes I wanted this summer working at Aldo. Unfortunately, I'm a broke college student and couldn't afford it anyways. I can't get the pictures off the website though, since they're all flash things or whatever. I don't know. I'm technologically challenged. But you can go to aldoshoes.com and check them out. (I love anything that comes in purple.)
Okay, well I'm done for tonight, I've got to get some sleep, its almost 3 in the damn morning. Yikes.
Night, kids!

Best Mistake

By JamisonParker. Hurray for Pandora.com. If you haven't heard of it, go check it out. They play songs they think you will like based on a band you put in for them. It's pretty awesome. And brings up good music you've never heard before, like the song I'm listening to now.

So Hey there!

How are you doing? I'm really good. My day is significantly better than it was yesterday. Yesterday was just... filled with frustration. First off the girl that gives... gave me rides decided to stop giving me them without warning, so I ventured out in the rain to a bus stop I took a few years back and hoped they still picked up there at the time I remembered. Luckily I made it there on time. So okay, I get through most of the day alright, damp jeans, but that's liveable. Then I get to photography. I'm already frustrated because some of my film got accidently exposed. Horrible. But yeah. So I find a good negative. One of the few that weren't ruined. I set up my enlarger to make a print, and get all these test prints done until I find the perfect lighting and time, and then... my timer breaks. -_-; So okay. I'm even more frustrated, but I take a deep breath and move over to a new enlarger. I start the whole process over again, testing lighting and time until I have it just right, I leave the darkroom for a minute and when I come back in someone is messing with my enlarger >[ I was not happy. I made growly noises. But in the end I did come up with one print. It's not the best, but it's a print.

Here's my print.

And then there's today. Today was a late start so basically I didn't have to push my half asleep body out of bed for a few extra hours. Only I didn't sleep those extra hous. I lay in bed trying to sleep. -sigh- But that's okay. It's still better than being in class. So yes, classes. They were plain. Nothing special. But afterschool I went and looked for a job and scored an interview at Outback Steakhouse tomorrow at four o'clock. Woot. Now I just need to find some decent clothing... which means I have to do laundry. Damn. -sigh- oh well.

There really isn't much else to tell you guys about my week. Sorry.

Shoes

I love Eject shoes. Unfortunetly they are very expensive. But they're still awesome.
Alright, well, the week is half over, so rejoice in the downhill slide, have a killer night kids. DFTBA <3

"You can always go back to them, that's what makes them soulmates"

So, I swear that I posted this yesterday but blogger was doing updates or something and wouldn't let me actually post it, but the draft was here this morning. Sorry!

I just love the show Greek. I feel like some how it teaches me stuff even though it's still just a cliche show about college life.

Today is awesome because I have amazing friends that have my back no matter what.

Well ladies, this week has been pretty tough for me. My boyfriend and I broke up [it's a long story, but basically we're soulmates and we both believe it. We just can't be together because my parents won't allow it. But the day I turn 18, we're going to be together], and the PACT test is tomorrow. Basically that is just getting me nervous for college and what-not, but excited at the same time, because that means freedom and being on my own. I can't wait for it.

Palin/Biden:
Well I despise Palin and Biden is okay in my books. I just like Obama 10x more than I like McCain so whatever.

Gay Marriage:
Totally for it. I mean, love is love. Love is a lot simpler than people try and make it. And gay couples should get the same rights as heterosexual couples. I'm super adament about this subject.

Is your school or home doing anything to become more green:
At my house, we finally started recycling cans and paper which makes me super happy. And whatever tyler said about school, because we obviously go to the same school. =]

Come up with a nail polish color, describe it, name it:
Uhmmm, well I think it would be "crack-a-smile" and it would be a line of really bright, happy, summery type colors. Instead of just one color, like a line of them I think. =]

Suggest a decent band that you think the rest of us might not have heard of.
Just one? No way Jose. haha.
-Owl City
-Lights
-Sydney Sprague
-Jimmy Robbins
-Backseat Goodbye

I'll stop there. =]

What was the most outrageous/funniest/weirdest/crappiest excuse you ever used to get out of PE and if you haven't...well why do you want to do PE?!
Huh, well I guess it's not that creative or anything, but I have asthma [I actually do] so a lot of time I would just make myself sound like I was having trouble breathing, and the teachers would get freaked out and tell me I would have to sit out therefore I didn't lie or anything. =] perfect!

Tell me if you agree with my theory that's sweets do have a weird smell.
Uh well I'm not sure, but I'll belive you on that.

TEAM LEANNEEEEEE. :DDDDD

Oh and the shoes thing. My computer is being lame and won't post em but they are orange and lilac bapes that i WAS getting for my birthday from sean but you know... But yeah, they are sweet. I might get them anyways.

John Green

Ok sorry this is going to be a VERY short blog.
I just didn't have anytime to write a blog and I'm very sorry.
But there is something I'd like to mention =]
My school is doing this thing called Relay for Life which is with the American Cancer Society and we have this huge 12 hour event. And last year my school raised 22,000 dollars for this charity. But people can just donate money without coming to this event. So I sent John Green a link to where you can donate to my team (all the money adds up in the end but we have teams, my team is the Awesome Possums) and I asked him if he could promote it on his website or youtube. I checked back on the my teams website and JOHN GREEN HAD DONATED 200 DOLLARS!! 200!! I put in 100 myself cause my daddy has cancer and this just meant a lot to me and I thought I'd share it =]
You guys don't have to but if you want here's the link
http://main.acsevents.org/goto/bengi
and you guys can also check the website out to see exactly where the money goes=]

John Green is made of awesome

Lemon Meringue Tie

Eyy kids, how is everyone on this potentially fantastic Sunday? I have yet to leave my room so I have no idea.

Today I feel tired...in that groggy headache-y just want to crawl back in bed for a year kind of way.

so pretty much like this x__x

Today is awesome because this weekend was awesome.

Questions:
1. What do you think of Palin/Biden?
Basically...I think Palin is an idiot, and radically conservative, which I'm not a fan of...considering my views are typically liberal-ish.
I actually don't know much about Biden except that apparently he's kind of sexist...

2. What is your opinion on the gay marriage issue?
Love is love. In addition to sooo many human rights violations, it's also kind a contradiction on separation of church vs. state. I mean churches shouldn't necessarily HAVE to marry couples if they don't want, but homosexual couples should still be able to receive a marriage license. I almost wrote a three page paper on this topic..so I'll stop before it gets out of hand. :]

3. Is your school or home doing anything to become more green?
Recycling cans at school.
Recycling everything at home.
But personally I'd love to have an ecoclub or something...hmm

4. Come up with a nail polish color, describe it, name it.
Really brilliant bright red.
I'd call it Scarlet O'Hara.
[but personally I love the gay Batman and the Clue nail polish ideas lol]

5. Suggest a decent band that you think the rest of us might not have heard of.
GirlTalk
Japan and I
Adelaide
Soko
Dance Gavin Dance
The Polysics
[AND I ALSO LOVE ARCHITECTURE IN HELSINKI! :DDDD]

6. What was the most outrageous/funniest/weirdest/crappiest excuse you ever used to get out of PE and if you haven't...well why do you want to do PE?!
I've never been good at lying or excuses...so the crappiest excuse I've ever done was purposely forget my gym clothes so I had to sit out. lol. But I hate PE with a passion.

7. Tell me if you agree with my theory that's sweets do have a weird smell.
Yes indeed they do. Especially gummies and things with peanuts.

Sounds like every one's lives have been pretty hectic...and my guess is it's only going to get worse lol. Fall is my most chaotic time, and it stays pretty chaotic until the end of the semester.

So updates on life...I'm currently making my way through the Gossip Girl book series, and reading a few Chuck Palaniuk books intermittently. I just finished watching Ugly Betty Season 1, and hopefully I can make it to Blockbuster today to rent Season 2. I really really love this show...probably because it has three of my favorite things: love, fashion, and nerdiness. :D

I saw three movies this weekend [I only had to pay for one of them so so it's all good].

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - I freaking loved this movie so much. Partially because I have a huge crush on Michael Cera, and partially because it has great dialogue and a sweet soundtrack. I definitely recommend seeing it.

Eagle Eye - Once again a movie made even better by a cute boy, this time it's Shia LeBoeuf. [Did anyone else used to have a crush on him in Even Stevens? I did. Oi.] This one was good, but kind a little too mainstream-action flick for me. Basically a whole lot action and not a lot of story...I dunno...basically I liked it but I wouldn't see it again.

Blindness - The director of this [Fernando Meirelles] also directed an amazing movie called City of God...but I didn't really like this one as much. It's very...stressful and sad and violent and there is a whole lot of sex. I don't know if I would recommend it...ehh maybe it depends on your mood.

Hmm what else...
School is going pretty well. We have A/C and B/D days, and A/C days have become my favorites because I have French, Literature and Composition, US History and Study Hall. French has been really fantastic this year because we're learning more cultural stuff and my teacher is crazy and amazing. My Lit teacher is one of those sort of chaotic people who loves everything and is just like...passionate about life/her job...we're reading the Scarlet Letter which I hate but after I look up things on Spark Notes it's actually an interesting story.... US History gets fun second semester but the teacher is great and hilarious.

Work is good. I've befriended most of my coworkers and managers and my hours have gone down a bit so I'm a little less stressed.

I guess that's about it, besides showing you what I got when I went shopping yesterday:
Three tshirts from Delia*s [I could pretty much buy every tshirt they sell and my life would be complete]

A pair of boots from Blowfish [in grey]

Plus a black cardigan from H&M and some insanely soft socks from Bath and Body Works.

Oh yeah...speaking of shopping. These shoes are $520 but I'm seriously considering saving up for them...or at least searching for some cheaper substitute. If these shoes were a boy I'd marry them . <3

I suppose that's all. Hope everyone's week goes well. DFTBA

Question: Find a pair of shoes online or a picture of a pair of shoes you don't have but you really really want to have. :]

and if you watch Project Runway WHO DO YOU WANT TO WIN

[I'm stuck between Leanne and Kenley]

Not a whole lot has been happening anyway, so y'all didn't really miss much from my end that way.

I'm open to punishments, including video ones since I have a working camera.

SORRYYY!
I'll make up for it next week ^-^;;
