Pajama Day

That's what today was for me. All pajamas, all the time. Cozy.

I'm a little late today, again. I have problems with procrastination.
Thanksgiving break ends Monday =[ Too soon, too soon. But not too bad seeing as it's only 2 or 3 weeks until Winter holiday, so woohoo!

So pretty much I hung out with my boyfriend all week, which was wonderful. He just went home little while ago, in fact.

My side where my IV thing is has been killing me all week, which sort of sucks. I get it taken out on Wednesday though, so that's not too bad. Only a few more days. And I'm feeling a lot better from when I had that lung infection. So that's good too.

I've started doing my Christmas shopping, and I got all my friends' gifts on Black Friday, because I'm crazy like that. I'm going to do family shopping once I get my paycheck from Linda, which will hook me up with about $84, not too shabby.

Uhhhm I totally feel like I should have a punishment for completely missing my day last week and then being late today but I don't know what to do? Any ideas? Hm?
Anyway.
This is kind of a short post. Not a whole lot going on. Don't have a whole lot to talk about. And I don't think there were any questions or anything...
And I am very sleepy, so I'm going to bed now.

Later chicas<3
Nighty night.

"Oh for Shame!"

From Silas Marner. I have to do an extract from it for Drama. I think it's a brilliant phrase, but I'm a freak like that :)

Less than a month till Christmas. Woo.

My week has been a mix.

I injured my neck this week so now I like can't properly turn it. Basically, we were meant to do half-somersaults. Basically, you lean on two people's hands and just jump upside down. And I was really scared to do it, so my teacher was just said "Just trust your supporters." And I did, and I jumped really high and they let go of me and I fell down straight on my head and bent my neck. The moral here is do not trust your supporters.

And we have this guest-teacher who comes in to teach us RS. He's a priest. But he looks so funny. I don't mean to be so mean to him, but my friend and I just can't help making fun. He has the shinest shoes ever. And if you watch Heroes, he has like the same scary eyebrows as Sylar. And he also has a velvet jacket. And if that wasn't funny enough (to me, who laughs at just about anything), my friend whispers to me "He has chicken legs! Look!" And now I can't look at him at all without laughing.

And another funny thing happened this week. In our Physics text book, there are summary boxes at the end of every page where you have to fill in the blanks. Because my class is ever so chatty, we were forced to work in silence. My friend was stuck on box questions, so I whispered to her "The answers are at the back," meaning they were at the back of the textbook (I'm so awesome at cheating you see).

She turns around to face the back CLASSROOM WALL and goes "WHERE?! I DON'T SEE THEM!"

Twilight Rant : I never thought Meyer's writing was really all that great. But it's such a good way to write - creating one romantic male character and one normal totally average girl who tells the story. It's how you make the general teenage public buy your book. You write so they want to read more.
Omg, I so agree that Edward is a "creep." You either think of it as "Aw, he's so sweet and besotted with love" or "Holy cow! That's gross hacking into someone's room and watching them sleep!" I was like "That's so weird the fact he'd actually go in through the window." Apparently most people go for the first way, but I just can't see that.
But I think Jacob's just as much as a freak as Edward.
And, what on Earth is Meyer going on about in Twilight when she says no one is called Edward? Loads of people are called Edward.

And I commented on (almost) every post this week. Yay! Oh, but I forgot to add something on Bengi's - Grats on the no-more French! And even more grats on being picked for Monday.

And we had Mufti day today for old people. And we have one next week for World AIDs day.

Less than a month till Christmas. Woo hoo! Three weeks more of school!

Hope you all have a good weekend

I'm back?

I haven’t posted a blog in two days =[ I fail. I’m sorry. I was going to post one last week but blogger didn’t let me! And it was already late so I didn’t bother to fix it so lets hope that this time I can get this blog up =]

So excuse time! It was library week this week at my school to celebrate the re-opening of our library and a lot of authors came (a lot of them were political non-fiction authors) and I had to usher them during my frees and lunch and some classes and sit threw hours of boring lectures and stuff so I didn’t get any homework done during my frees and lunch which is when I usually do my homework on Monday because I have French after school and get home later than usual!

One cool author who came was Rachel Cohn and I got like an extra 20 minutes to talk to her since I work at my library and she is just so amazing! I forgot to my bring my copy of Nick&Norahs for her to sign so she gave me her copy and signed it! She is so sweet! And apparently her and David are in the movie! They’re sitting behind Nick and Norah in the restaurant scene. She said that she thought that Kat Dennings was prettier than the Norah she imagined and that the dude who plays Nick (I forgot his name) isn’t anything at all like the Nick she imagined and wanted but that he brought something of his own into the movie!

So let me answer the questions:

1. Which Hogwarts house do you think you would be in? Which is your favorite?
My favorite is Slytherin and I would be in Slytherin because they’re really cunning and I hate to admit it but all the lies I told back when I lived in Belgium to do downtown and go to parties I wasn’t allowed to were purely amazing and I didn’t get caught even once so that’s cunning/slyness and that’s what Slytherin is all about. And they’re really loyal, so am I and well I can be a total bitch to people who are mean to me!
2. Is there a movie soundtrack which you think is fantastic?

Well I’m guessing Musicals don’t count? So classical music soundtracks:
Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring
Pirates of the Carribean (All)
Harry Potter (All)
Non-Classical
JUNO!
Twilgiht
*I know they’re not movies but these shows have amazing music in them:
Gossip Girl
Greys Anatomy
3. Are you going to see the Twilight movie? What do you think of the previews?
NO NO NO NO NO
I am NOT paying shit for that movie!!!!! BOLT a animated DISENY (I love Disney but not a lot of movie critics do) with MILEY CYRUS and JOHN TRAVOLTA got better ratings that Twilight! All my friends said it was horrible and the previews were awful=
Say it
Vampire….She sucks at acting and is so not the Bella I imagined.

I feel very strongly about Twilight. I used to like it but I got bored during one of the guest speakers during the library thing and picked up Eclipse because it was the closest book to me and seriously DO NOT read a random book from the series because it ruins EVERYTHING!
Edward IS SUCH A CREEP! Think about it, he BREAKS in threw her window at night to watch her sleep!!!
He breaks her car so she can’t go see Jacob!

I really think that if Twilight had another authors *cough * JKR *cough * it would be so much better because the plot is really good.
I’m on Team Jacob now btw (Taylor Launter is also way hotter than Rob and I agree with Karen he is so much hotter as Edward Cullen)

Oh also I have a youtube/HP friend whom I’ve meet twice and she’s awesome her name is Kara and she has like 100 subs on youtube and she’s also part of this collab channel called thosesevengirls and she asked me to make an audition video for it and I got chosen….As Monday! So it guess Mondays will be my vlog/blog days =] it’s cool, even though it’s the only day I come home so late but after christmass break I wont have French anymore! I hope…

AHHHHHH OMFGSJDBFVNASJHBV!!!!!1

So I fail, punish as you see fit.

I actually did totally forget about doing my blog yesterday.
Then I remembered this morning but the site was down or something when I went on.
Then I had to go to the school for the matinee performance of BNW.
Then I've been battling with my passive-aggressive internet connection for the past half hour.

Quick updates:
Friday, Saturday and today were our performances of Brave New World.
I messed up a little Friday. I didn't yesterday or today, though. YAY!
Thanksgiving break is Wednesday. I still haven't done any makeup work from when I was out sick.

Hogwarts House: I've taken online quizzes, I mean a lot, a lot of quizzes, because I get bored. They've all said Hufflepuff. I agree.

Twilight: I don't really intend on seeing it, and I've never read the books. I don't know. It doesn't really seem too me. Hm.

Movie Soundtrack: Across the Universe. There are some beautiful takes on The Beatles there.
OH! And can't forget Nightmare Before Christmas. Love love love.

And I love love love you all.
Sorry for intruding on Sunday and stuff.
I'll accept your punishments ^-^
DFTBA

The air was soft, the stars so fine, the promise of every cobbled alley so great, that I thought I was in a dream

Really long title. Really great book. [On the Road]

This one's gonna be short.

Questions:
1. Which Hogwarts house do you think you would be in? Which is your favorite?
Hufflepuff for both. Everyone always blows them off as the lame house...but uhmm HELLO CEDRIC DIGGORY?!! :]
2. Is there a movie soundtrack which you think is fantastic?
Juno, Twilight, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and pretty much any Wes Anderson film [the Royal Tenanbaums, Darjeeling Limited, Aquatic Life, Bottle Rocket, etc]
3. Are you going to see the Twilight movie? What do you think of the previews?
I hated the previews, and even though the movie was covered in cheesiness...I still loved it. I think as long as you don't go into expecting some heartbreakingly brilliant film you can enjoy it. The fact that nearly every male character is adorable also helps <3

Currently...
listening to Kanye West's new album
feeling kind of sick, and tired
doing my algebra 2 homework
getting ready to leave for work of course
reading The Last Good Kiss

YES! The Last Good Kiss, as in the book John Green talks about often. It's really really brilliant actually, the way the author writes is really poetic in a sad, sort of Kerouac kind of way. I'm about halfway through it and I adore it.

Additionally every television show this week [the office, gossip girl, big bang theory, ugly betty] was great and happy and sweet.

I've worked 16-17 hours already this weekend, and I'm about to go work about 7 more...basically ridiculous but I'll be makin bank on Friday when I get paiddd.

Well darlings I suppose that's about it, hope everyone is well.
