Today I feel sick. Thanks to my sister, who stole a sip of my Pepsi the other day without my knowing. She, by the way, got sick from my other sister, who likes to lick people.
It's a viral loop! AHH!
Let's see... What's been happening lately? Oh, we had auditions for Aldous Huxley's Brave New World on the 8th and 9th, and that was pretty fun because Blazi (our director) brought her baby along and between reading we would all sit on the auditorium floor and play with her. Cutest. Infant. EVAR! She's going to be in the play, as well. She play's the baby (surprise surprise) of Young Mother, and basically just gets carried from one side of the stage to the other. Hah, Abby's big break!
Anyway, I didn't get the part I wanted, which was Fanny, but I did at least get a speaking role, and I'm not the kind of person like some people in the show who whine about getting "crappy parts." I got Dr. Shaw, which technically is a guy part. In reality though, and since there are always less guys at auditions than girls, the gender of this role is in no way important to the show and by changing one word I say in the dialogue it's works out quite well. And really I'm lucky because I don't have as many rehearsal days as I would have if I got the other role, and with less lines to memorize that means I can also work on memorizing the other lines I have for totally unrelated student directed scenes for my Drama class, of which I have many. Plus a scene of my own to direct, which I have never done before, and am nervous about. Eep. Our group is doing scenes from Frogs, which is a Greek play. It seems pretty interesting.
In my Photo class we have to get out and take a bunch of landscape photos. I'm pretty excited about that, too, because it means I finally get to use my fancy Sears KS2 camera that my dad got me. And I love photographing nature. I forsee a beach trip.
Today is an extrodinarily lazy day. I woke up at around noon, ate a brownie with milk for breakfast then went and layed down with my mom in her room and watched Sleepless in Seattle and Failure to Launch. And then I remembered it was Saturday. And here I am, sneezing and drinking root beer.
Philosophy: Having gone to a Catholic school for 9 years of my life, though I myself am not religious by any means, I must say that there was one value that stuck with me and made sense. That, basically is the "Golden Rule," Do unto others as they would do unto you. Or however they worded it on that ruler they passed out the first day of third grade. It makes sense. Treat other people like people and don't be a jerk, because chances are you like being treated as a person and having people not behave as jerks towards you. Also, as I have come to witness from being a high school student, whenever I meet someone new and don't really have much of an opinion developed about them, but otherwise find them to be a decent person, I generally have no reason to judge them and want to be friends with them. Because, let's face it, I like people, I like knowing people, I like making friends. But when I meet someone and mention them to one of my friends in passing, and when they know them and have some kind of poor opinon of them and proceed to enlighten me on said opinion, I don't really pay attention. Reading baco on that it doesn't really make sense how I worded that. Here's an example:
There's this guy who's in the BNW play with me who I sort of started chatting with. I ran into him a few times and we chat, and he's into filmmaking and asked if I'd like to be in a movie he's working on just for fun, and I said sure, when let me see the scrips and stuff when you're done and he's all like cool. Lunch happens by and I mention to my friend about it and she tells me that she hates the guy and he's weird and blah blah whatever, negativity. But really, I didn't pay much mind to it because so far, I don't have any reason to dislike the guy as a person, though she may. I know some people who would take that and be like "oh he's a weirdo or something so I shouldn't be friends with him" but I say until I'm wronged, we're cool. So really I have a couple friends who aren't friends with my other friends. It's weird. But yeah.
Eh, I'm really out of sorts today :/ I miss my boyfriend. Ehhhhh.
Well, I'm going to end the blog here... I hope I didn't miss a challenge or anything. I remembered the one on philosophy. If I forgot one, I'll accept a punishment. Not a problem.
I'm off to find some Ricola. Bye, loves. Don't get sick.

IT'S ON TIME. LIKE OH EM GEE.
Okay. I know that's a crappy title, but I really don't know what to say about it.
Also, I'm really REALLY tired. Like I came home today and immediately slept for like three hours. THAT IS HOW TIRED I AM. I was so tired on the bus I was going to cry, HAHA. Seriously. So this will be a short entry.
2 Random Things on my Desk: A car made out of lego and a rubber duck (Someone asked me this the other day. They're both birthday presents).
Good things that have happened this week:
I TURNED 14 ON SUNDAY. I TOTALLY FORGOT.
I played a game of lacrosse. It was uber fun. Even if I did suck.
I like most of my teachers.
We're reading Jane Eyre in English, and I actually like it. Helen Burns is such a nice character. Jane is sort of weird. (Haha, so specific, I know).
Physics joke: A guy goes to the shop and buys 10 neutrons. He asks the shop keeper how much they are. The shop keeper says, "No charge." *Ba dum dum pish* I had another one, but I kind of forgot it.
Omg. And physics is funny. YOU CAN GIVE PEOPLE ELECTRIC SHOCKS :D
I'm learning to open my locker. I am "bonding" with it. (Thank you for the tip, Lysky :D)
Bad things:
I dropped my lunch on my third schooling day. MAC AND CHEESE EXPLOSION. I suck.
I only know where one of the loos are :(
The person behind me in Maths is obsessed with Hamptons (partnered guy school, like a hedge separating grounds). It makes me want to tape her up with duct tape and feed her to the deer(s?) in Bushy Park. Really.
I get so lost around my school. Thank heavens it's a square, but curse satan it's a large one.
It took me one hour and twenty minutes to get home today.
I MISS MY FRIENDS :(
^It doesn't matter how nice people are, but you just can't love them as much as them old ones.
And I'm forgetting to rant about money! Dear me, I am forgetful. So here's the money rant. At my [new] school, you can buy, for £1.40, a hot chocolate and muffin. Today, they introduced the rule where you can't bring your drink anywhere outside the canteen. This sucks, because we had lacrosse which meant we couldn't hide the drink (you have to hide it for like 15 minutes cause it's so hot you can't actually drink it. I usually put it in my slightly-hard-to-open locker and then drink it before lunch). We didn't have time so like eight of us binned eight full cups of hot chocolate. What a waste of hot chocolate. And money.
Challenges
Childhood Memory
I have lots. I listed like the top 100 with my best friend, but off the top of my head... I remember playing Powerpuff Girls (YouTube it if you never watched Cartoon Network) with my two oldest and still friends. I was Bubbles. Weirdly, we all turned out similar to the characters we played: my friend who played Blossom brushes her hair more than usual; Buttercup still.. beats the crap out of things, I guess.
One of my weirder memories is collecting grit. I don't know why, but my friend and I used to collect salt grit and keep them in a corner of the playground. We'd be so confused when they'd disappear over night.
Philosophy
I have lots. I did not list the top 100. Be nice to everyone, even if they're not nice to you, is probably the one I follow most.
TV Shows
Friends whenever it's on, Scrubs, HOUSE (NEW SEASON THIS AUTUMN! :D), Heroes (Waiting for new series), Ugly Betty, just recently, because nothing else was on, so I watched it with a negative attitude, but it actually turned out to be pretty good.
There's so much I wanted to write, but now my eyes are actually closing. BUT THIS IS, LIKE, PURE DEDICATION, MAN ;O (Basically, at least it's on time this time)
Yeah. Kay. Bye. *Sleeps*

Stepping on Thursday
Eek! I missed my day, I won't make this long, because this is not my day.
One- if you think up a punishment then I will do it on video camera... assuming that it's something that can be done on camera.
Dos- I've been so busy, so quick comments to the girls.
Karen- Oh my. Good luck with lockers. Sometimes you just need to bond with it. Glad everything else is well though. Especially Physics. I hated physics.
Melissa (saturday)-Cystic Fibrosis, way bad. Fedora, so awesome. The play you're doing sounds like a book I read last year. I think it was.... the diary of Tilly d? It's something along those lines. I'm sure I'm a little off.
Tyler-eek. Threats at work cannot be good. I'm so glad I don't have a job sometimes. -_-;
Bengi- Not a big Selena fan, but it's cool. Everyone's got their own thing :D Good luck getting a manager. I'd like to do the same, but generally they don't like oddly colored hair. Ho hum.
Melissa (Tuesday)- I have never heard of Sydney Sprague. But I love acoustic. So I will check her out. Bummer about F.O.B. Try for the Academy Is... they are lovely gentlemen.
Chelsea- First of all, I'm stepping on your day. I'm soooo sorry. Hurray for both missing days. We're kinda notsome right now XD
I'm not going to talk about me, challenges will be postponed until it is legally my day. If you want to hear about my week I shall post in my own blog tonight. Promise. Sorry Chelsea. And yeah, again, think of challenges, I shall video tape, and post back here Wednesday. <3

"You know what else is a bad idea? Apple butter. What the hell is that?"
First of all, the title quote was said by a good friend of mine last night [last night? night before last? its all such a blur...] in the library while we were procrastinating. And I disagree wholeheartedly, because apple butter is GREAT.
Second, I don't know if you noticed my complete lack of blog last Thursday, but assuming you did, I apologize. My internet was down for a few days, and I hadn't been having the greatest week....which if you've checked out my personal blog lately you've seen the ranting. But don't worry, I'll spare you here.
Anyways. I'm back now, and I'm feeling marginally better after pushing my Beowulf paper off onto tomorrow morning and spending a few hours with the boy. Not the wisest decision, perhaps, but much needed.
So...since I totally and completely missed my day, I'm totally open to punishments of whatever kind. Depending on what we come up with, it may take me a while because my days are pretty packed full of class, work, rehearsal, and studying. But I'll make it work. If you're quick, I can do it over the weekend and have it for you [maybe] next week. :)
In other news, I believe I have some questions to answer.
FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY: Hmm. That's a hard one...but I'm going to go with the time I was about 5 and I noticed that the Easter Bunny at the neighborhood egg hunt had the same sneakers as my dad, and proceeding to announce it to EVERYONE. I pick this not because it was my favorite at the time, but thinking back on all the crazy things I did as a child, this one cracks me up the most.
PHILOSOPHY: I'm actually taking an Intro Philosophy class right now that is really fun. This week I've enjoyed reading Nietzsche a LOT. Very cynical views on religion, mostly Christianity, which I find a little amusing and highly interesting. Also very fun to discuss with my atheist boyfriend. Haha. I know that isn't really what this question was asking, but I'm a little drowned in reading for that class right now.
I REMEMBER THERE BEING DISCUSSION OF DISNEY MOVIES: which I LOVELOVELOVE. It was decided long ago that if I were a Disney princess, I would be Meg from Hercules. Hercules is definitely one of my ultimate favorites. The music is great and I have this weird thing for Greek mythology...
TV SHOWS: I don't watch that much TV, actually, but there are some shows that I love. Will & Grace, Sex and the City, LOST, The Office, Project Runway, Flight of the Conchords, [I've never seen this on here, but I watch it online] The Mighty Boosh, Scrubs, Psych.
That's all I can remember from past blogs at the moment. And its 3 in the morning and I'm getting up in 5 hours to finish my paper before class tomorrow, so I'm going to call it a night. I'm sorry for not posting last week, things are starting to settle in a little better now so I'm not expecting I'll miss again. Anyways...I love you all....goodnight, and good luck.

I Wanna Make You Cry
I wanna pull apart your insides,
but that would be mean.
So I'll keep my fingers crossed,
that you forget to breathe.
That's by Sydney Sprague. I've been obsessed with her and her music lately. She's really chill, acoustic. Sooo great. It's the kind of music that my boyfriend wants to make/is making. It's awesome. =)
Bengi, I know how it feels to be dissapointed with a hero/idol. I got to "meet" Fall Out Boy last May since I had meet and greet passes, but all I got to do was say "Hi" and get a picture. It was one of the biggest dissapointments of my life, really. So I feel ya. But I'm not giving up, so neither should you. :]
Well my weekend was actually pretty wonderful. I got to hang out with my boyfriend which is always an amazing time. :] We got to go back to his house and chill for about four hours and watch our favorite movie, Howl's Moving Castle together. And Sunday I got my ears pierced [yeah, for the first time!]. I felt like such a dork going after this six year old girl, but oh well. I just never felt like getting it done. My week has been pretty boring so far, but it's only tuesday, so I'm holding out. I babysit twice this weekend which means money so that's never a bad thing. haha.
Favorite Childhood Memory:
Hmm, I don't know what constitutes as me being a child. I mean, I still consider myself a child, really. Which in that case would mean my favorite/foundest memory would probably be the day my boyfriend told me he loved me. Butttt, if we are going for really little, I don't know if I can pick just one. But one of my favorite memories is when I was about 11 or 12 I think. It was a week before my great-great-aunt died and I got to spend that whole saturday with her playing cards. Her and I were very close since my mom and I lived with my grandma for some time when I was little and she also lived with my grandma. She tought me how to play cards and I've loved card games like Pinochle, Spades, Euchre, etc ever since. So the weekend before she died I was playing Gin Rummy with her in her room and she STILL beat me even at 98 years old! I will never forget that because it was the last time I saw her, and having that good memory makes me soo happy.
Philosophy:
My favorite is definetly Buddhism [technically a philosophy, not a religion since there isn't a deity]. I went to the Buddhist temple in Chinatown, Chicago over the summer [with Tyler actually], and that definetly sparked an interest in me. I'm also doing a World Religions project on the religion right now. While I'm actually growing more and more in my faith [Roman Catholicism] because of my boyfriend, I've always been really inspired by Buddhist teachings and writings.
Well kiddies, I hope you have a great week and weekend. DFTBA.
=)

Another Cinderella Storey
Ok so I'll get to the tittle later.
So basically I'm at school in the library during lunch because I'm doing my history homework (wow I'm such a good student) and I got sick of doing that so I decided to post my blog!
That's the trailer to Selena Gomez's new movie that's coming out on dvd September 16th but I illegally downloaded it in less that 15 minutes and watched in yesterday instead of doing my history homework! I really recommend it because it's not just like one of those Cinderella stories, and it has some awesome dancing and signing!
Today I STILL feel disappointed because, if you haven't realized I'm slightly obsessed with Selena Gomez. So on saturday she was doing a meet and greet at the disney store with the rest of the Wizards of Waverly place cast( I love that show) and they were all their signing autographs etc...Well I was in line for about 2 hours now and I was part of the next group to go in and they were like Oh too late now it's closed! But here's a poster since you waited in the RAIN for 2 hours...but then they came out and we were behind the barriers and i got Selena and David and Jake to sign my poster =]
so I'll post a picture of that when I get home. But I was so disappointed I cried when I got home =[ I know it's stupid but she's my idol!
But I really hope that I'll have another chance to meet her someday =]
Challenges
Favorite childhood memory:
Going to the premiere of Tarzan and thinking how awesome it was to be one of the fist kids to ever see it! (well premiere in NY I think)
Philosophy:
I don't really have one but I guess it's follow you dreams =] I'm agnostic, like I don't really personally think there's a god but I'm happy to be proven wrong and I hope there is a god.
And here's an awesome song that pretty much describes my life :D
By Selena Gomez (wow shocker...)
dftba
Bengi
OH before I forget to say this, I want to get a manager or something cause I'd love to be in a commercial =] I'll update you guys if I ever get into this more! For now it's just a thought.

this really long...
Hello lovelies, it's been awhile...I apologize for not posting last week, but I'll update you on everything interesting.
Today I feel... hopeless, in a sort of sad/romantic/bittersweet/John Cusack kind of way.
Today is awesome because I'm listening to Ludo.
On the Disney front, I'm all for Disney movies: Alice in Wonderland, the Three Caballeros, The Aristocats, Dumbo, Pocahontas and such are so classic. TV-wise I've always been more of a Nickelodeon fan, but Even Stevens and Wizards of Waverly Place and Phineas and Ferb are pretty good...ehh Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are adorable but please don't get me started on Miley Cyrus.... oi
My favorite childhood memory is probably just generally sitting on swings. I don't know why but when I think of my "childhood", I just see swings. I moved around a lot when I was younger so trying to think of different moments is weird because all the moments have different people in them...but all the different people are usually on swings...this is weird.
Now I feel nostalgic.
Shows I obsess over:
1. Gossip Girl...seriously...if you watch this show...text me...we'll chat
2. Project Runway [Kenley and Blane ftw]
3. The Office...I want Jim and Pam to break up...yeah...
4. Top Chef
5. The Sarah Silverman Program
6. Flight of the Conchords [JANUARY 2009!]
So...on the past two weeks...basically my life is work, school, family, friends. I like my work a lot because I love pretty much everyone I work with. My friend Kelly recently got a job there so after our disastrous work meeting yesterday she and I and another girl at my work (Amber) went to IHOP and complained about it and talked about Twilight. :] I just love how work is kind of different from school [for me at least], because I go to a private Catholic high school, a lot of the people there are really alike, but at work it's a bunch of different people from somewhat different backgrounds that I probably wouldn't even get the chance to talk to at school. :D
On the disastrous work meeting, basically it began well with people getting awards and whatnot...and then it went in a steeply downward slope with us all pretty much getting yelled at for two straight hours. Basically it was bad enough to scare me and make me want to make sure I do everything perfectly tonight. I just don't understand the need for threats. I think positive reinforcement would work much better, especially for people like me who get weird and zoned out when they get nervous.
School is going well, it's the typical "transition" period at the beginning of school. Because I have a lot of different teachers, the first month or two are usually just like getting used to the way they teach, so I'm averaging Bs at the moment. Family is weird...because we all have our own little separate lives right now...like my dad coaches football, my brother is a freshman at a different high school than me, my little brother is at a new school and he has his friends in the neighborhood, and my mom works...a lot. But we're good I guess. Friends...eesh...I seriously feel like I haven't seen any of my non-work friends in forever [outside of school]. Hopefully that will change next weekend or something...
In other news, I have officially watched every Wes Anderson movie available to the general public. ;DDDD I am in love with him as a director and I highly suggest seeing any of his films. He's only really had about six, and they're fairly easy to find.
Bottle Rocket
Rushmore Academy
The Royal Tenanbaums
The Darjeeling Limited
Hotel Chevalier [short film included in Darjeeling Limited]
The Aquatic Life with Steve Zissou
All of his films are tragic comedies. Terrible things happen, some of the main characters are idiots or jerks, but somehow it all manages to be funny with these brilliant one-liners and fantastic dialogue and superb soundtracks. I love his films because they manage to be weirdly realistic and supremely unrealistic at the same time. I don't know...you really just have to see one of them. Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Anjelica Huston and Jason Schwartzman are in pretty much all of his films.
Ugh I could go on and on about all that brilliance...but I'll keep it almostshort.
Let's talk about books! Last week I finished The Andy Warhol Philosophy (A to B and Back Again) by Andy Warhol and the first book in the Gossip Girl series. I now have the second book of the Gossip Girl series, but I've decided to read The Stranger by Albert Camus first.
The Stranger is a French book but I have the American version (if I only I was better at French :/). It's supposed to be absurdist in style, you know the whole "life is absurd" "life has no meaning" kind of philosophy. I find it all very interesting. A lot of religious people find those without religious affiliation to be....sinful? or pessimistic? But I really can't see what's so wrong with it. Philosophies such as Existentialism and Nihilism seem really...fantastic to me. Like the Woody Allen quote "The meaning of life is that there is no meaning to life", but the thing is...people keep on living and people keep on being happy, so they live to live, they don't live to get to heaven or to avoid hell or for anyone else, they live for life itself, even if they do think life is meaningless. It seems very simple and beautiful to me...
Well...now I have to classify the contents of my purse and write a paper about it for Lit/Comp 3...I have no idea how to go about this...eeeeeeck.
CHALLENGE:
What is one philosophy that you really connect with, it can be an actual religion or anything else really [existentialism, Taoism, etc]
