Hey, Look! A Blog!

Hello all, it's Saturday. Today has been relatively lazy, I got up at 10:30 and basically since then I've just been hanging out.
Today is awesome because I get to hang out with one of my best friends EVAR! Since school's started it's been hard hanging out with anyone, but with Labor Day coming up, we get a three day weekend. W00T!
Yesterday I went to our school's first football game of the year to sell flashing Cuda cups (we're the Barracudas. But our mascot is a shark. But it's a secret, don't tell anyone X_X psh yeah whatever.) for 5 dollars a piece in order to raise money for our poor-as-dirt drama program. We seriously have under $300 in our account this year. And Mrs. Blazi (our director) has had these cups for like 5 years, and has been trying to get rid of them. I was the only person to volunteer to go to the game and sell them. I also had the idea to be charitable and I spent $25 on candy to fill the cups with to make them more appealing. And I made a shirt that said "HELP CUDA DRAMA CLUB" on the front. Haha. I managed to sell 11 out of 17, and I got a few donations, too. It was pretty great, we raised about $61. The awesomeness of it basically offset the notsome that came out of being made fun of for singing and yelling and dancing and skipping around trying to get people to freaking buy our cups. But hey, whatever. Afterwards my friend who drove me and acted as my billboard went out to Denny's to hang out with the Cuda band, of which I was apart until this year, when I switched over to Drama. Mhm. I love those guys.
Good golly gosh, I've been craving iced coffee and Publix bakery brownies for the past week! But my mom is bringing me both when she gets back from work. I wuv her.

I think the only challenge as of now is the favorite sad movie one, and I don't think I did that yet.
Truth be told, I can't say I know. Well, I can think of one, but it's not a movie, per se. It's a music video. On YouTube. In Japanese. But I cried! So, yeah.

It's a sweet video.

That's all I have for today.

Oh, yeah.
Today I feel like 13 weeks is too long.
Photobucket
Boot camp sucks =[ I miss Darius.

One day late

Whoops. Sorry, I sort of forgot yesterday.

I don't have much to report, since I haven't done a lot this week.

Oh. The one thing I have done is get glasses done. If you've never had an eye exam done, they're the freakiest things ever. Not cause they prod your eye or anything, but when they shine this REALLY bright light into your eye, you can see your freaking veins. It's so gross. I even said "Oh my God, that's gross." I don't think the optician likes me very much. I will have some of these glasses. I had the last one in stock (go Karma) so I can't find the colour. Mine's a bit pinkier. I didn't actually want pink glasses, but they're like the only ones that fit my petite face =_= I look like such a nerd in them. I feel like I should say, that whilst I take pride in being a nerd, I don't feel like being beaten up senseless quite yet, so I'm probably going to lay off it for a bit.

I STILL LOVE YOU, NERDFIGHTERS

Less than one week till school (Start on 4th Sep). I don't wanna go. LIKE REALLY DON'T. WANT. TO. GO.

:(

Oh.

And did you know that French people apparently (according to my friend) call their 'partners' (i.e. girl/boyfriends, wife, spouse, grand children?) "My little cabbage"? Like instead of "Sweetie." Like they say "My little cabbage."

I was in hysterics from laughing so much.

I know it's a boring post, but I don't want to go to school :(

Challenge(s?)
Favourite sad movie : Pay It Forward, hands down.

Another Hundred People

So, my roommate is asleep because she has to get up at ungodly hours of the morning, but I'm going to be so busy tomorrow that I figured I would go ahead and write this now. Fortunately she's a heavy sleeper.

The good news is that I had callbacks for Company auditions at school today and I will be playing Marta! Man, I am all kinds of excited. Except for the part where I feel all bad following up Lysky's post about not making Sweeney Todd...damn. If it makes you feel better, love, its taken me two years in the Berry College Theatre Company to get a role with more than 4 lines.

In other news, I started class on Monday and its just been more stress than I anticipated. I mean, its SOOO great to be back and all moved in, but it just seems like everything is falling apart. Including my car, but lets not talk about it. Fortunately, getting into Company has improved my mood immensely since this morning [well, technically yesterday morning]. Although I'm a little frustrated at myself for leaving my car lights on for an hour and a half while I was over at my boyfriend's dorm and having to get a friend out of bed to come jump my battery.

Fail.

But moving on, I believe I have some challenges to do.

FAVORITE SAD MOVIE: Casablanca, hands down. Every time I hope Ilsa will refuse to get on the plane, but it never happens. Sigh.

CLOUDBUSTING:
Will have to happen at a later date, because I don't have a camera at the moment. I thought about going online and just finding pictures of clouds, but that seems so lame to me. I may have to do it anyways, though. Just warning you.

Okay, well that's really all I've got for you, because I'm getting up in about 6.5 hours and I'm totally wiped. Goodnight, kids.

PS: God, have we really been doing this for a MONTH already? Wow. I feel so accomplished. :)

Rumored Nights - Exhausted

1/2 the title= Rumored Night by The academy is. I got the new cd Saturday. It is BRILLIANT. 1/2 the title= I'm exhausted. -_-;

It has been a long week. I'm up before six in the morning and not home until after six in the evening. Monday after school I auditioned for Sweeny Todd. Tuesday I had callbacks. Unfortunatly I did not make it to second callbacks. I am rather bummed out. I was hoping to play Toby. Buuut never fear. There are plenty of other opportunities to be on stage. Which leads me to today. Today there were auditions for Original One Acts. Also known as OOAs. Pronounced Oooo ahhhs. So I auditioned for that today and I will see if I made callbacks in the morning. This schedule has me completely worn out though. I don't want to do anything, especially not the monologue I'm supposed to be writing for advanced repatory theatre. I have not been able to think of a good character. If you have suggestions for a humorous characters I would gladly take it.

Ice cream
this was my challenge, and I completely forget if I posted my answer to it or not. If I did, I apologize for making you read it twice. But I love coffee flavored icecream. Sooo good.

Favorite sad movie
IS Sweeny Todd considered a sad movie?

Besides that, the Chumscrubber. It's more wierd then sad, but quite amazing nontheless

cloudbusting
it's already dark out. If I had been home before dark sometime this week I would have participated. But I didn't.

Did I cover everything? I think I did... I'm not sure. I'm really beat though, so I apologize for my horrible post.

In return I'm posting this video for your entertainment. These guys are in the band InMotion. They're so funny and nice. This video totally cracks me up everytime. The guy in the brown shirt is really cool. I've been chatting a lot with him lately.

Here Goes Nothin!

This boy is that I'm seeing play tomorrow for the first time. :D Tyler and I have been big fans of his since I don't know, April-ish? Tyler can verify that for me since she got me into him. check him here.

Today, my day was pretty good actually. Today is the day I have all my not fun classes [block schedule ftw]. I got a 96% on my precalc test though! I had physics but I don't think I did well on that quiz. =/ My other two classes are U.S. History which is a very sleep worthy class but Tyler is in that one with me and a bunch of other fun kids so it's better. And my last class is World Religions which is such a joke, but we meditate every class so that's grrreat. :]

Favorite Songs:
Goo Goo Dolls- Iris
Ludo- Hum Along
Dave Matthew's Band- Grey Street

Ice Cream Flavor:
Either Cookies && Cream [from anywhere],
or double chocolate fudge brownine from Ben & Jerry's.
Oohhh my.

Favorite Sad Movie:
Hmm, I don't watch that many movies really.
And the ones I do are either A) Anime or B)super happy.
I'll let you know on this one.

I fail at cloudbusting terribly this week.
it was a perfect day for it, too!
but sadly, i of course totally forgot about it till like 7ish,
and by that time the clouds all went away.
=[
but i'll do it next week and it'll be grand.
:D

DFTBA chicas.

P.S. I started reading Looking For Alaska today. :D It's really great so far even though I'm not even that far [like page 50ish].

Get Back <3

I love Demi Lovato! Her new song is just amazing!

I just thought I should mention that Demi and Selena are my idols =]

Today I fell: Exhausted!
Sorry this is up so late! I had to enter a 3 hour test to get into this really good high school ( I doubt I made it because people have been studying for months and some even a year but I found out about a week ago!) But I scored an interveiw with Beacon High which is one of the best in NYC! That interveiw is tomorrow. But I had to spend hours filling out fors nad waiting in line to see if any seats were open. It was such a bore!

Songs I'll never get bored of
1. Get Back - Demi Lovato
2. Revenge on the Radio- DIMMN (I knew them before Fiveawesomeguys)
3. Any Beatles song =]
Then I pretty much get sick of everything really soon cause I over listen to them!

Favorite Ice Cream Flavour
I love almost every flavour Ben and Jerry's can come up with

To Tyler
Yes, I recommended Something to Blog about. I really liked it aswell =]

Favorite Sad movie
So many to chose from, but I gotta go with Cold Mountain. It made me cry so much but I loved it!

I'm sorry I couldn't do the cloudbusting! By the time I have anytime for myself all the clouds are gone =[ I'm so sorry I'm so unorginized. It's just really hectic right now!

Did I forget any challenges? If so I'm sorry!

DFTBA

and again
Sorry!

HAPPY BiRTHDAY JOHN GREEN! <3

Uhm...basically I just got home from work a little while ago...I'm gonna go to bed and update in the morning... xD

Today is awesome because [technically] yesterday was awesome.

______________________________________________
"MORNING" (actually it's about 1pm my time)
Today I feel...happy.

So first the questions and suchh:
Clothing Era
The 1950's, basically I love dresses and I think the 50's were so classic. <3>Songs I Could Listen To a Million Times
All My Loving by the Beatles
Paper Planes by MIA
At the Bottom of Everything by Bright Eyes
Lola by the Kinks
Thunder Mountain by Bob Dylan
Raining in my Heart by Buddy Holly
Buddy Holly by Weezer
Catastrophe Waitress by Belle & Sebastian

I don't know, there are just a lot of songs that will never get old for me...pretty much anything by the Beatles or Buddy Holly I could listen to forever. :D

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor
This is difficult...it's a three way tie between Strawberry Cheesecake (cheesecake icecream with strawberry and graham cracker swirls), Chunky Monkey (banana icecream with chocolate chunks and walnuts), and Creme Brule (creme brule flavored icecream with a carmelized sugar swirl). Basically I have a large obsession with Ben and Jerry's icecream.

Alright now on to you all.... :D
Bengi-hope everything went well with all of your school and apartment things :]
Melissa-well hmm...I basically hung out with you yesterday so I don't have much to say lol
Lysky-I'm jealous of your schedule, ours is kind of like it but the classes switch around so it's rather confusing, also on the boy front, I can't empathize but I can sympathize, being hit on just isn't really all that fun.
Chelsea-Back to school...fun? lol I read your other blog about the school rules and such...they sound pretty ridiculous...hopefully you have a good year though, how many years do you have left there? [PS...you totally inspired me and I spent a good ten minutes looking over the jazz records in the used music store here...sadly I didn't have enough money to buy anything :/]
Karen-And I thought our school system was confusing...eesh. But I hope everything goes well with being a new kid, I've been a new kid multiple times and while it's kind of tough at first, I'm sure if you just be yourself [oh wow that sounds sappy] you'll be fine, you're made of awesome so how could they not love you?!
Melissa-Disco themed party?! uhmm jealous much... [also glad to hear everything went okay after the storm]

About My Week
This was my first week of school, and so far I'm actually quite content. I have French 3, Algebra 2, Chemistry, US History, Financial Management, American Lit/Comp, and Morality. I have a friends in all my classes and lunches and I don't hate any of my teachers yet lol. However we did have a "class meeting" in which the school administration basically threatened and yelled at us for things we haven't done yet, does anyone else have this? It felt like "Welcome back to school, now let us reprimand and warn and scare you", they kept talking about the law and how they know about everything we do and there's this new program that if you get two or more D's [or F's] two quarters in a row you can be expelled...I don't think that'll be a problem for me...but geez.

Concerning the weekend, I spent Friday cleaning my room and being mopey. Saturday I went downtown with Melissa and our friend Alexa and did some shopping, eating, and sharing of cupcakes. I bought a shirt, a hat, a ring, and some sunglasses. :D

Also if you have a Noodles & Company near you, you should go there now, we had lunch there and it was delicious.

After all that awesome-ness I went to work...with my workcrush < 3

I have to work again today from 5pm to close, but besides that I'm probably going to spend my day cleaning my room some more, listening to Ben Lee, and going to the library.

OH! IMPORTANT! I forget who recommended it [I think it was Bengi?] but I read Something to Blog About, and I loved it. It was really really fantastic. I also recently finished reading Naked by David Sedaris (whom I adore, I highly recommend any of his books), and I just started on The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (From A to B and Back Again) by Andy Warhol. I have a supreme obsession with Warhol as a person and an artist...I don't know why exactly I just think he's fantastic. I also watched An American in Paris (Chelsea suggested this one I believe), and I loved it as well! I love musical-ish movies so so so much, so I'm probably going to see what else the library has today.

The song of the day is Catch my Disease by Ben Lee, I just love it (it plays on Scrubs from time to time).
The question of the day is what is your favorite sad movie?

Cloudbusting:
this is a bit err abstract...

[PS...is anyone in on the secret project?!...I sort of am except I don't have the erhm needed materials at the moment so I'm going to have to complete it whenever I get my paycheck, but I figure even if I do it late it'll still like...help the project]
