I might have used this title already? Maybe? I don't know. Placebo. Good band.
Anyway! Onward!
I'm so sorry I missed my last blog. My family celebrates Christmas on Christmas eve, and so I was like "I will not be distracted!" and I put up the window, entered like five words and walked away and in the blur of presents, baby christ, and Christmas cookies, I completely forgot. D: oops.
So my christmas was rather awesome. I don't have photos of my gifts. And I probably could go do that... but ugh... I'd rather not rally them all up again. So as a brief summary I got a slytherin jersey, an awesome Family force 5 shirt, The book devilish by Maureen Johnson, picks for my guitar, Nightmare before Christmas on dvd, Thumbelina [I looove that movie], Muse, Coldplay, a hoodie with bat wings, and a liter of lotion.... I think I should be set all through college on lotion. It's rather awesome.
Question for the week: What are you doing for New Years Eve?
Well, I really don't know. Mainly because I didn't realize today was New Years Eve until I saw this text on my phone at 11:40 asking what I was doing for New Years... So. Who knows.
Lately I've been going with the flow. A lot of last minute unplanned plans. It's been fun. Piph has been staying with me :] Yay! I'm selfish. But she knows that already.
Well, have a lovely New Years kiddos! Whatever you may be doing or going.
Oh and...

Woahh that was a close one
I'm here, I'm here. I almost missed my day but I did not forget, I just had work and then went to see Bedtime Stories [really good by the way].
So the past two weeks: I had finals, which I did fairly decently on, nothing less than a 90% in any of my classes as of yet. Then my family and I headed off to Keystone, Colorado, where they proceeded to ski and frollick while I was a lazy and unathletic bum and chilled at the condo for days and days. I did manage to see Yes Man [hilarious] and Seven Pounds [really really really sad]. I also bought The Complete Poems of Walt Whitman (at 40% off!) and I rode on jam packed planes next to germaphobic women and giant slumbering men.
I got back on Christmas Eve, worked Christmas day night, had a family get together on Saturday morning, and worked Saturday night. So basically besides not being in school until next Monday, everything is back to normal.
Let's talk Christmas presents! [I can't have real live pictures because my camera charger has disappeared and the photouploader here won't let me do pictures from the internet :/ ] By far my favorite gift was a TomTom GPS system, because I have an awful habit of driving, getting lost, and yelling at anyone and everyone near me. I also got a Nintendo DS, The Breakfast Club DVD and The Darjeeling Limited DVD, and over $100 worth of giftcards to bookstores, which I used to order graphic novel versions of Hamlet, Macbeth, and Romeo & Juliet. (also a book full of fashion sketches by famous fashion designers, which I'm reallyyyyy excited about).
Work-wise, I'm feeling pretty good, I've been trained in another department so I get to work in a nice clean box office occasionally instead of a greasy concessions stand. Also a bunch of the college kids are back for break and I love love love them.
Plans for the rest of the week are pretty loose, I really want to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Valkrie, and Slumdog Millionaire, and I still need to figure out something interesting to do for New Years Eve.
Book-wise I'm just waiting for my Shakespearean comic books to arrive, and in the mean time I'm reading Catch-22, but I'm not sure I'll finish it before it's due back to the library....
Anywho I smell pizza...so I must run.
Question for the week: What are you doing for New Years Eve?
peaceee.

"I eat ready for breakfast!"
From The IT Crowd. Fantastic comedy that I highly recommend :)
So here comes the picture blog.

These are probably the two most amazing Christmas cards I got this year, both hand made. The first is from my friend Beth, who is amazing at art. She made like loads of ones like that and they're all so pretty. The second is from my friend Nicole who drew thirty nine other Christmas cards. Quite frankly, I don't know how she managed to draw forty of them. (Don't ask me about the Pokemon, I don't actually know.)

The first one are loads of bracelets from the British Heart Foundation. They do the nicest stone/gem bracelets, and I only had one, so my sister brought me the others. Apparently you just have to randomly catch them in charityshops, which is why I never really saw them. The second "thing" is a sock toy. Made of win much? My friend made it for me, haha. They're meant to be instructions somewhere on the web, so I need to go look out for them. The third is a bag (you can't see the straps cause I suck) from my friend. She got it somewhere in Camden, but and I think it's pretty awesome. The last on that row is just a pretty bracelet. I don't know why, but apparently bracelets are just my thing this year.

These are the more randomer gifts. My friend has a tradition of getting me small Christmas trees for Christmas. Like last year she gave me one of those small Paperchase trees, and this year it's from Muji. Look at the wittle gingerbread man! The that's the second DVD of The IT Crowd which is amazing. And that's a dolphin crystal if you can't see properly. It's all shiny :)

And lastly, The QI Book of Quotes.
Signed by the authors :D
(Probably one of the best presents ever.)
There are other things I would have put down, but I really do hate inserting pictures, haha.
Merry Christmas & Boxing Day!

Realquick.
Just a short one since I have to get up early for, you know, christmas festivities and the like. But I've been so horrible about posting lately that I felt like I should at least give you guys SOMEthing. :)
Anyways, I hope you all have a fabulous [insert whatever politically correct holiday phrase is being said these days] and I will see you next week!
THOUGHT FOR A CHALLENGE: Maybe we should do a present blog over the next week? Update us on your haul for this year, and maybe some stuff you got for others. With pictures! I mean, I think that could be fun. Whatever you guys want.

"Death is peaceful, easy. Life is harder"
So I saw Twilight today. Actually beats me how we got tickets on the day it's released. It was such a disappointment. I swear the director should go fall in a pond. It. Was. Awful. Well, it was also interesting to see how someone would interpret the book, but it still does no justice. No, don't blame the casting team - everyone's image of Edward is different, most people's Bellas are themselves. It was so bad! It just drives me mad! Also, it was so uncouth, so unnatural, funnily enough. Like there was so much "space" between Bella and Edward. It was just a tad too planned out. The only example I can think of is: "It. Is. Nice." said by Bella. "IT IS NICE"? I swear she is like a robot. I don't think she smiled once in the film. Twilight. Thumbs down.
And on other movie notes, I'm trying to watch all five Harry Potter films over Christmas. I'm also trying to read them all, but I have a whole list of books to read!
I'm finally on Christmas break, which means two weeks of no work. Hurrah! Nothing beats sleeping in 'till ten in the morning! And we had report reading last week. I didn't fail anything! Hurrah!
Challenges
Ten Facts
1. I'm allergic to apples. Not like, deathly alergic or anything. Like if someone ate an apple near me my neck doesn't blow up. But I get a rash for like an hour if I eat one.
2. I used to have a hamster called Holly (Holly the Hamster, har har har) when I was six that lived for four years.
3. I love The Jolly Postmen books. If you haven't read them, I highly recommend all of them.
4. I have this really bad habit of waking up at 3:11 in the morning every day, school day or not. It's annoying, but it's a habit I've just had to live with for years. I don't know why.
5. I have eczema and asthma.
6. My house has a yellow door. I do not know why.
7. People with funny eyebrows make me laugh. It is terrible. Most notably - Sylar from Heroes
8. If I'm talking to someone with the nicest blue eyes ever, I purposely look away, because I have a tendancy to stare at blue eyes.
9. I highly dislike Lindor chocolates.
10. I go into Paperchase (a shop) so much I know the shop assistant's name.
Food
Italian! Because I love cheese, and Italian food is obviously the only reasons why tomatoes exist.
I think I'm going to have like a complete Christmas themed blog thing next week. Partly because I predict I'll be too lazy to actually write anything.
I'm going to say Merry Christmas now, because the next time I blog will be boxing day!
So, Merry Christmas!
P.S. Oreo milkshakes are heaven.

please don't hurt me!
Whew.
My life. It is crazy. I apologize.
Honestly, that's all I can say for being MIA lately. There was the show, and then Thanksgiving, and then finals...but now that's all over and I've got a month off! WOOHOO.
Okay, I'm going to try and go back and answer some questions and do some challenges. I feel so bad you guys, I really sorry. Don't kill me.
TEN FACTS ABOUT MYSELF:
1. I'm a sucker for a nice smile.
2. I'm a jazz singer, or at least fancy myself one. Jazz is what I love the most and I hope that if I wasn't any good at it that someone would have told me by now. So, you know, that's enough qualification for me. :)
3. I can't remember the last time I left the house without mascara on.
4. Cheesecake is the most amazing dessert on the planet.
5. I've sold my soul to the Berry College Theatre Company, and I love it.
6. My boyfriend may not be able to come back to Berry next year, and I'm scared shitless over it.
7. I am naturally attracted to talented people. Theatre, music, art, you know.
8. I am apparently pretty terrible at wrapping presents.
9. I have an addiction to burning mix CDs.
10. Nothing is better than a great classic movie.
FOOD FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE:
Italian food. I will die fat and happy.
FAVORITE MUSICAL:
Anything by Cole Porter is great, as is Gershwin.
Even though I just did it, I still love Company.
Guys and Dolls is also a personal favorite. :)
I'll stop before I go on forever.
CHARACTERS:
God. Don't even get me started.
I would love to be Adelaide in G&D, but Sarah Brown is also a great role.
Of course, what actress doesn't aspire to be Elphaba?
Marta from Company is definitely one of the most fun characters I've played so far.
I would LOVE to be Maggie the Cat from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
Beatrice from Much Ado About Nothing is another that's been on my list for quite a while.
PERFUME:
J'adore Dior. No question.
COLOGNE:
Kenneth Cole Black. Someday when I can drop $80 on a bottle, Jordan will get some. :)
GUILTY PLEASURE MUSIC:
I've totally go back to my middle school days and hit up the boy bands. N*SYNC, Backstreet Boys, BBMack, Hanson. Oh, and Spice Girls.
SOMETHING I THINK IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL:
Forgive me, this might be sappy.
[that's the boy, in case you were wondering. yes, that's from halloween.]
Okay, so that's about it. Again, I apologize for failing so miserably at this game, but at least for the next few weeks I'll be around. :)
G'night, kids.

Island in the sun
What I wish I were one right now... -sigh-
Song by Weezer. Awesome in the summer, but now it seems to be teasing me almost?
Well! Finals this week. So far I've had two. Orchestra, and Pre-calculus. It's been pretty easy so far. I'm like a math guru, and well, orchestra... easy. Tomorrow I have Advanced Repertory theatre and english. Generally you would think theatre would be easier... but there's a problem. For our final in that class we have to write of rewrite a sketchs for the Having Ulimited Goals assembly. But I am absolutely, completely, and one hundred percent brain dead. I cannot for the life of me think of sketch ideas. All I do is sit and stare at the blinking bar on my page. Any ideas out there? I would love to hear them... you know... before tomorrow at eight. It would be helpful.
Beauty and the Beast is going rather smoothly for me right now. We've got two more days of rehearsal, and finals, before break. So excited. I could use the break so so much.
Alright. So ten facts about myself? This should be fun.
1. I will NOT touch styrofoam. I absolutely hate it. The way it sounds and feels. It's just horrible.
2. I've failed at so many instruments; piano, mandolin, drums
3. I absolutely love vanilla soy milk
4. Thumbelina is one of my favorite movies. I even sing the songs to myself sometimes.
5. I have a very powerful conscience
6. Sometimes I hate the way I look because it reminds me of my abscent mother
7. When I think of working at outback or getting ready to go to college the pit of my stomache drops out and I feel like panicing.
8. I'm totally in love with Epiphany :]
9. Sometimes I dress up even though I'm just at home.
10. I tried to write a novel and my computer ate it.
Weird habits?
When I'm drinking from a glass I lick the rim after I'm done sipping. Does that count? I don't steal pens intentionally.
Oh, and I've been in the process of writing this all day. So new news, I told my brother about Piph. I'm working on the whole 'coming out' bit. [btw, I really hate that phrase. Someone needs to come up with a better phrase] And he was like "Really? Like a girlfriend girlfriend?" and when I confirmed he was like "Oh, cool." and that was basically the end of it. It amazed me how much it did not matter. Which was cool. It shouldn't matter.
My Question- If you had to choose one type of food to eat for the rest of your life what would it be and why? This can be a cultural category, or a type like grain, vege, meat. I'm open to whatever category you come up with as long as there's a reason along with it.

Allow me to invade Monday real fast.
I just want to apologize and let everyone know I'm not dead. I am SO sorry I've been MIA for so long, but there was the show plus finals plus family plus holiday business and I'm a terrible person I'm so so so sorry.
Anyways, I'm on christmas break for the next month-ish, and since I didn't get into the next show at school [I'm not upset or anything, just very thankful for the break], I should have a bit more down time. So you should be hearing from me soon!
Just wanted to drop by and apologize real fast. :)

gary gygax
Ahh listening to Uncle Monsterface sing songs about Dungeons and Dragons just makes me smile a lot.
Today is awesome because I have an 11 day break from work and a two week break from school [soon].
Today I feel lazy.
So this week is final exams, basically giant tests over everything we've learned since August. I hate them. I hate them a lot. But nonetheless I've been studying for ehhh four hours? This semester shouldn't been too horrid.
I believe there was a question of favorite color?
Personally I love sunshine yellow and faded greenish blue.
Random act of kindness: telling people they look good...lol
erhhh I don't feel like blogging today really...
uhh question/challenge: write ten random facts about yourself that we don't know already

"Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair"
(From Macbeth). Sorry for last week's extremely short reply. I hope this one will be better, even though I only just remembered.
I meant to reply to everyone's posts last week, but kind of failed.
Mel - I love pyjama days. I haven't had one for ages. I think I got out of the habit because I discovered you're kind of doomed when someone knocks on your door and you're still in pyjamas. And, if you want to, what's Black Friday? And I did read your post last... or this week and sent/send you good vibes.
Tyler - Throaty like symptoms are everywhere now. Eat Strepsils? One hundred pupils were ill on Wednesday according to my art teacher. That's like one in eight :( And I have never heard of the film Milk. Was it good? And Stake and Shake is an awesome name. How are you finding the Great Gatsby? I've heard mixed reviews.
Bengi - Oh, I bet French Revolution is better than the Industrial! Lysky - Oof, sorry about the company business. I'm glad Beauty and the Beast is going well though, even if it is like honey.
Melissa - Happy early birthday!
Challenges
1. Favourite Musical
I haven't really seen that many. I know the story line and music of Rent, so that's pretty high up. And if you count these as musicals, then 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks'! Maybe B is secretly my favourite letter.
2. Musical Character
Haven't really seen many.
3. Tarot Cards
Any kind of indie shop, really. Or maybe like a Charity shop - they often have lots of weird things like that. Or any Christmas fairs that are coming up or car boot sales. It's kind of weird for a shop to sell them. They're more like gifts or hand me downs.
4. Scents
Ooh, I don't really like much. I don't know if you have it there, but overpowered Lynx annoys me. Like if you walk right behind someone wearing loads, they leave a little trail of smell behind them. But that's not really answering the question. Once upon a time I had some Dior kind of perfume that I got from one of those shops at the Airport. Like you know, those aeroplane shops. It was right before boarding, so my sister and I spent like an hour just smelling things.
5. Something I think is beautiful?
Well, I brought a postcard with this image on it and thought it was kind of pretty. It's from Paperchase. I don't remember who the photographer is. I really ought to check. I think lots of things are beautiful though, so this is just one of many.
6. Guilty Music Pleasure
Like Mel, probably the odd bit of Avril Lavigne's old stuff. I don't really have many guilty music pleasures.
7. Random Act of Kidness
I think we all do random acts of kindness without even knowing it. This week, I've paid for a stranger's bus fee, picked up someone's dropped book, written "Smile =]" on a foggy window (I found a post it note with that written on it once and it definitely made me give a grin). And I've given money to a charity and had a swift conversation with an old lady at the bus stop. There were loads of charity events going on in town yesterday, so it sucked I only had a certain amount of change. I spent a tener (tenner? Ten-er?) just to get change. I promised a lady who was collecting money for Streetchild Africa that I would come back and give back my change. So she gave me a sticker and said to me: "I just know you'll come back," in a friendly way, not like in a whole "I KNOW YOU'LL COME BACK, WON'T YOU?" threatening way, which was kind of nice.
8. Favourite colour?
Blue. That blue, infact. It's kind of dark. My room walls are just a bit brighter because my room gets no light. Damn south facing window.
Right. And now onto a proper blog. It really feels like I haven't blogged properly for ages. Maybe that's good because I hopefully haven't written a boring entry either.
My class finally managed to draw Secret Santa last week - after THREE times. I'm lucky I got my friend who likes fluffy things. I'm also doing Secret Santa with my old school friends, but we have to hand make our gifts. I don't have a camera at the moment, but I'll show you what I've done next week. I actually keep trying to make a photo blog, but I never have the time.
I also failed a Maths test yesterday. Yay. But my Maths teacher said it was really hard so he doesn't mind if we get a bad mark. Other subjects are going okay. We're in the processess of finishing off Macbeth in English. Unfortunately we have the fun essay of "Who is to Blame for Macbeth's Downfall?" At least we have no more Latin lessons because we're having a series of Greek taster lessons instead, which are going okay. It's weird learning a new alphabet though. My letters are all kind of lopsided.
Aaand, you remember that priest dude who teaches RS? He finished his teacher training! My class are upset that we'll never see his funny eyebrows and shiny shoes again. But I don't think he really liked my class. We kept mistaking the word "Heresy" for "Hear Say" as in the band.
We have report reading next week. Eek. Apparently it's quite hellish at this school - the teacher basically tells you you're not working hard enough, that you need to cut down on hobbies and focus on studying. Sounds harsh. It means I'll get to miss some of Chemistry though, yay. I'm kind of planning out my excuses for not studying hard enough on exams. I'm hoping my form tutor will believe me.
But next week still ought to be pretty good, besides the hellish report reading. We break up on Thursday. On Tuesday I'm seeing my friends afterschool at Subway, and on Thursday we have a Sixth Form and Teacher Pantomime (apparently it's great fun - last year they did The Potter Puppet Pals and got our sixty year old teacher to play Dumbledore), and then I'm meeting up with my friends to go Ice skating.
And because next week is my last week, it means I have no more Physics, PE or ICT lessons! Yay! Hope you have a spiffingly fantastic weekend :) Sorry for the painfully long blog post. It really just makes up for last week's.
Also, I keep nicking pens from my classroom. Like whenever people leave pens on my desk, I just stick them in my bag. I now have a nice collection of pens. So my question is: What weird habits do you have?
I think lots of things are beautiful though, so this is just one of many.6.
8. Favourite colour?Blue.
Good gracious!
It's not a song. Because for once I'm not listening to music. Weird! I was actually heading to bed when I remembered that today is Wednesday! My poor neglected day.
So, updates for right now;
Beauty and the beast is running smoothly, but the choreography got completely changed for the mob scene and I really hate the new stuff. It seems like Guston is telling us a fairy tale story rather than getting us pumped up to kill. It is fer sure lame. Lame lame lame.
And yeah, I also have a cold so my singing is atrocious. The high notes are a no go. Hurray for lip syncing.
All that I can really think to tell you otherwise is that Piph, my girl, is coming to town. I am wicked excited. :]
So on to questions.
1. What is your favorite musical, and why.
Hair. It's this awesome rock musical based in the time of nam. The costumes/ music are great.
2. If you had to be a character in any play or musical who would you be?
Hmm, I'm always really jealous of the male leads. Their characters always seem like such fun. I would love to play Harry Thunder [I'm pretty sure that's his name] from Wild Oats. So out there. Unfortunately that's for a boy :[
3. Where do you think I might be able to find some tarot cards?
I have no idea. I've never used them... uhmm... good luck!
4. Favorite color and why?
I've always loved blue. Especially blue green. I guess because it's peaceful and it reminds me of the ocean. But otherwise I've got no good reason. I just think it's lovely.

"I enjoy the summer breeze...
when you leg touches my knee.
sticky air is super lame,
i enjoy the smell of rain"
dig the lyrics, eh?
It's my boyfriend's band. :D
He just put up the new music the other day,
so pleaseeeee check it out.
You won't regret it.
Well it's been a little bit since I've blogged, and I do apologize. Since I have, I guess some stuff has happened in my life. My parents finally started allowing me to see my boyfriend, so we spent two days together this past weekend. It's a wonderful and crazy thing to actually see my boyfriend. Crazy concept, eh? So basically since then, I've been just helping him promote the hell out of this band. It's super cute, acoustic, fun stuff. I mean, the kid's a genius [maybe I'm a little biased? ha]. But anyways, I haven't been up to much. Trying to get a job [hi, I hate money], and what-not. Sorry I haven't been around a lot. When did Tuesdays get so busy? Haha. My birthday is next Tuesday though. =] I got one present from my boyfriend already. Dog/Military tags that say my name, my birthday, and "super pretty...super loved". Ahhh cuteee. =]
Favorite Musical: I'm a dork and I adore the Music Man.
Character I would like to play in a musical: Hmm, tough. Ask me again next week when I brush up on my musical knowledge.
Tarot Cards: Never tried them. Interesting.
Favorite Perfume: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Armani Code. It's seriously my favorite scent in the world.
Favorite Cologne: Whatever my boyfriend wears. I have never asked him what it is, but it's always the same and it's always great. haha.
Guilty Pleasure Music: Huh. Basically, most of my music I am guilty about. Like, I know a lot of the music I listen is just manufactured pop-punk, electro shit and I think I'm okay with it. I'm talking about The Millionairs, Metro Station, Breathe Electric, Boys Like Girls, etc. Like, really, it's not anything mind-blowingly original. But I like it, and it's catchy. Humph. I redeem myself every now and than will stuff like Brand New, The Format, Love You Moon, etc, but honestly, I'm suck a dork when it comes to music. Eh.
My question is, what is your favorite color, and tell me why it is. I want details, here.
Love you ladies, DFTBA.

Today is a Day for Greatness

Hello my dears, today is Sunday and today is awesome because I now work with TWO of my best friends and I have finally mastered the afterworklatenighthangout. Today I feel really happy.
Favorite Musical: It's a three way tie between The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rent, and The Producers
Character I would like to play in a musical: Columbia from RHPS, or Mark from Rent
Tarot Cards: I looked at Border's. They had books on it but no actual cards. Perhaps I shall try Barnes & Noble
Favorite Perfume: I Love Love by Moschino Cheap and Chic, it's like a mix of flowers and oranges and fun
Favorite Cologne: Old Calvin Klein, I found some dusty bottles in my parents room the other day and that was one of them, it smells so good sometimes I wear it myself. :]
Guilty Pleasure Music: Ehh, probably the Polysics. They're awesome but when your friend gets in your car and you turn it on and really loud hyper Japanese comes blasting out...it's a little embarassing.
This week has actually been fairly fantastic. School is a little stressful as I have had quite a few projects and papers coming up lately, and I work about 35 hours a week now. But, on the plus side, I'm doing well in all my classes and my coworkers are pretty much a second family.
Weekendwise, Friday I worked but it was completely dead all night. After work stopped at Steak n Shake, had Pibb Xtra, it was grand. Saturday I worked again, but this time with my friend Hannah who just got a job at my work. After work drove out to eastjesusnowhere to my friend Brandon's house to hang out with a few work people and watch The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Besides that I'm really excited to see the movie Milk next weekend. It is supposed to come out this weekend but apparently Missourians don't believe in releasing movies on the days their supposed to be released. I cannot wait to see it. :D
Additionally I've been listening to the new Kayne West cd, which I'm basically in love with, and there's a couple other bands that I've kind of gotten into and need to buy their albums:
-Holy Hail
-Samantha Shelton
-The Gossip
And I've been getting into like...old school country? It's weird I know but that like 60's country that's very classic and twangy...oh man.
Well I supposed that's about it.
My challenge for the week is to perform a random act of kindness...and I guess tell us about it?
ehhhhh kay
bye

Wow, What a Week.
I'm going to get questions out of the way.
Favorite Musical:
This is a tough one. I really really really love Across the Universe, with a passion. So there's that. And also, Spamalot. I love Monty Python soo much, and I saw it last year with my mom and it was hilarious.
If I Could Be Any Character from a Musical:
I think for this one, I'm going to go with Prudence from Across the Universe. She's so free-spirited and outgoing, she was definitely one of my favorite characters.
But I have to say if I were to go cross-gender for this question I would definitely pick Mr. Kite.
Favorite scene in the whole movie.
Tarot Cards?:
If I'm not mistaken, I think you can get them at Barnes and Nobles, or Borders or something. Like, in the New Age section. But I'm not positive. I know at one point I was interested in buying this book on reading runes and it came with the stones and everything but I was broke. I would think you could get some there.
Favorite Perfume/Cologne:
My sense of smell pretty much sucks, so I never really know what things smell like. I do have this small vial of scented oil that I bought at this New Age shop near my house, though. It's natural coconut oil that you mix with water and put in those oil burners and it makes your house smell really nice, but there aren't any chemicals in it or anything so you can wear it as perfume as well, which I do a lot. It smells like a combination of coconut and vanilla.
Guilty Music Pleasure:
I don't know that I have any that I would consider a "guilty pleasure." I'm similar to you, Bengi, in that my taste in music varies a lot. My dad's in the music business, so I grew up surrounded by music my whole life. I guess if I really had to think about it, I kind of like Avril Lavigne and Panic! at the Disco and stuff, like I was really into Avril when she first started out, but since then I've kind of outgrown her, and I was kind of against Panic! in the beginning. But if a song of theirs comes on the radio or something, I'll listen to it, I'll probably like it, but I doubt I'm going to go out and buy their CD. But that's me. My taste varies from classic to metal to techno to Jrock/pop to whatever.
Now, to blogging.
This has been quite the week. Quite, quite stressful. I've been catching up on my work for school that I missed from being in the hospital, but I didn't get it turned in before the grades were due for mindterm grades, so I'm pretty much failing all of my classes, until the actual report cards come out in January where they'll go up from Fs to As or Bs like witchcraft. Gotta love that.
Besides that, though, it's been a sad week because the best friend of one of my really good friends died on Monday, supposedly of alcohol poisoning, but I'm not totally sure. From what I read in the report on it in the paper it doesn't seem likely. I don't know. I didn't know the kid all that well, I met him only once or twice, but I'm really close with his best friend, and he was there when he died. I feel terribly for him, and it's just weird. Everyone who knew him said he was one of the sweetest, smartest, coolest guys you could ever meet, and from what I know of him when I met him a couple times, that's all very true.
WelL I'm done. Gonna go for now.
Have a good rest of the week.

Be our guest!
Okay... I fail to believe that I missed my day. Because I remember typing a blog with a beauty and the beast title, and when I looked down there this week it was not there. -gasp-. Am I just crazy? Possibly.
But anyway! I digress. Things are not looking so good here. General Motors, which is the company my dad works for, [too see said father there is two videos of him on my youtube channel] is planning on shutting down half of their plants in the US. The plant he works for has always been ranked best. We got number three out of all the plants, foreign and domestic, in the entire Western hemisphere. Now suddenly they're saying that the quality is bad. Which is, of course, not true. How could we go from number three to the bottom in three months? Nope, they're setting it up saying that if they go ours will be one of the first. My dad is less then a year away from retiring and in a few weeks we don't think he'll be employed. SO times are not good. I might not have the internet much longer. Or phones. Or TV. Anything for that matter, so if I disappear off the face of the earth, forgive me. Although I'm entirely sure I'll be able to give some forewarning about this.
Other news- Beauty and the Beast is running smoothly... but slowly... like honey. The numbers we've learned are picking up, but there's still more to dances to learn and the Choreographer has been sick for a week. Hopefully she'll be back tomorrow because Ben Bartlett can't do it. Sorry. He just doesn't know dance.
Anyway, this is short, but I have to write a paper before going to Lauren's [dad's girlfriend's daughter] choir concert downtown. So yeah, I love you girls. Cross your fingers for me, send positive vibes, I need them.

PBA's are notsome
So I have PBA's soon and i have to write it on the French Revolution which is probably THE most boring topic like in existence!!!
here are my answers to the questions =]
1. What is your favorite musical, and why.
So hard, but I'm going to go with Spring Awakening because it's so unique! For it's time, when it was first written as a play it was banned because it had premarital sex in it and a boy who was an atheist and the songs they use are just amazing!
2. If you had to be a character in any play or musical who would you be?
As a character or to act? Well since I can't sing, I'm going to pick Character and that has to be...wow umm...Maureen Johnson from RENT. She's just so FREE =]
3. Where do you think I might be able to find some tarot cards?
I don't know, the ones I have my friend got them for me from England, but try a street fair?
4. What is your favorite perfume or cologne
Perfume at the moment a tie between: Vera Wang Princess and Gucci Envy Me and I love the Abercrombie Cologne Fierce, it's the one they spray the store with so I'm planning on buying it and spraying it on my clothes =]
Ok so this thursday me and my friend CAMPED OUT on the streets of NYC from 8pm to 7am the next day to get wristbands to go to the JB book signing (yes they wrote a book) and we got in =] and the even was at 3 and I saw their dad and me and this girl ran after him on the streets to his car and we screamed KEVIN! (that's his name, Kevin Jonas was named after his dad) and from the car BOTH of them turned around and laughed when they saw how shocked we were to see Kevin (he's my favorite)
I've typed this story so many times this is the short version:
When i got there Kevin walked around the table to give me and hug, and no one got hugs unless they asked for one! so i gave him the letters me and my friend had written while camping out and i said: the longest is yours and we was so suprised! and he gave me another hug! and then with Joe i went to shake his hand but he pulled me into a hug over the table and i'm really short so it was painful!
and nick
omg
he hugged me as well and we joked around then when i was leaving he said : I LOVE YOU!
=] they say that to fans sometimes so ya =]
that's my story and now I have to go and read 30 pages on the French Revolution, fun fun fun
Oh and if you haven't head this song already:
Subject to Setback by Danger Is My Middle Name....I have an odd taste in music, goes from Taylor Swift, to Jonas, To Demi Lovato, to Musicals, to Wrock, to System of a Down etc...So check it out it's amazing! Alan, 5ag, uses it a lot in his videos.
So that's my question, what's your guilty pleasure when it comes to Music =] Mine was JB but now i'm open with it xP

So that's my question, what's your guilty pleasure when it comes to Music =] Mine was JB but now i'm open with it xP
eeeep
I forgot it was Sunday.
I don't have school tomorrow so it felt more like a Saturday.
I actually had a fun weekend for once.
But work is honestly owning my life.
They've got me on 35 hour weeks now...
and they denied my most recent request off.
So basically I am not happy.
BUT! One of my best friends just got hired
so I'm really excited to get to work with her.
Tuesday and Wednesday I was sick with strep throat-like symptoms.
Thursday I worked in the morning and then had a delicious and meat-free Thanksgiving dinner and then saw Role Models [hilarious!] with my brother.
Friday I worked 9am-5pm. In case you weren't aware, this was Black Friday, the day of insane sales and even more insane shoppers. Basically after being stressed out and shopping all day they bombarded the theater...and they weren't very patient.
After work Friday I just went home and watched The Producers [loved it] and The Music Man, and Charlie Barlett [ahhh he is too cute], and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Saturday I worked 2pm-10pm, but it was actually quite nice because I got to work at a smaller, less busy concession stand with my friend Melanie, so we were basically by ourselves just hanging out for most of the time. After work I met up with my friends and we ate late breakfast at IHOP, we had a strange waiter but it was snowing when we came home so it was cool. We watched the Rocky Horror Picture Show [it really never gets old for me] and went to bed.
Sunday [today apparently?] I went to a football game with my friend, we rode the MetroLink there, which is sort of like a train/subway type thing. I'd never been on it before so that was neat. Then I worked and was in a terrible mood all night at work because of being stressed out of work.... lol
Soo tomorrow I don't have school. It's just sort of a random holiday I guess. But since I don't have to work, I'll be spending the entire day catching up on projects and homework...joy.
I finished The Last Good Kiss by James Crumley. It is fantastic. I loved it a lot, even if the ending was a bit sad. Next I hope to read either The Great Gatsby or Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.
I am really tired right now...so I guess that's all for today. Here are a few questions...
1. What is your favorite musical, and why.
2. If you had to be a character in any play or musical who would you be?
3. Where do you think I might be able to find some tarot cards?
4. What is your favorite perfume or cologne?
Then litte challenge:
Post a picture of something you think is really beautiful.
Hope everyone has a splendid week. This week I will comment everyone's post. I just feel like giving myself that challenge. :]

Pajama Day
That's what today was for me. All pajamas, all the time. Cozy.
I'm a little late today, again. I have problems with procrastination.
Thanksgiving break ends Monday =[ Too soon, too soon. But not too bad seeing as it's only 2 or 3 weeks until Winter holiday, so woohoo!
So pretty much I hung out with my boyfriend all week, which was wonderful. He just went home little while ago, in fact.
My side where my IV thing is has been killing me all week, which sort of sucks. I get it taken out on Wednesday though, so that's not too bad. Only a few more days. And I'm feeling a lot better from when I had that lung infection. So that's good too.
I've started doing my Christmas shopping, and I got all my friends' gifts on Black Friday, because I'm crazy like that. I'm going to do family shopping once I get my paycheck from Linda, which will hook me up with about $84, not too shabby.
Uhhhm I totally feel like I should have a punishment for completely missing my day last week and then being late today but I don't know what to do? Any ideas? Hm?
Anyway.
This is kind of a short post. Not a whole lot going on. Don't have a whole lot to talk about. And I don't think there were any questions or anything...
And I am very sleepy, so I'm going to bed now.

"Oh for Shame!"
From Silas Marner. I have to do an extract from it for Drama. I think it's a brilliant phrase, but I'm a freak like that :)
Less than a month till Christmas. Woo.
My week has been a mix.
I injured my neck this week so now I like can't properly turn it. Basically, we were meant to do half-somersaults. Basically, you lean on two people's hands and just jump upside down. And I was really scared to do it, so my teacher was just said "Just trust your supporters." And I did, and I jumped really high and they let go of me and I fell down straight on my head and bent my neck. The moral here is do not trust your supporters.
And we have this guest-teacher who comes in to teach us RS. He's a priest. But he looks so funny. I don't mean to be so mean to him, but my friend and I just can't help making fun. He has the shinest shoes ever. And if you watch Heroes, he has like the same scary eyebrows as Sylar. And he also has a velvet jacket. And if that wasn't funny enough (to me, who laughs at just about anything), my friend whispers to me "He has chicken legs! Look!" And now I can't look at him at all without laughing.
And another funny thing happened this week. In our Physics text book, there are summary boxes at the end of every page where you have to fill in the blanks. Because my class is ever so chatty, we were forced to work in silence. My friend was stuck on box questions, so I whispered to her "The answers are at the back," meaning they were at the back of the textbook (I'm so awesome at cheating you see).
She turns around to face the back CLASSROOM WALL and goes "WHERE?! I DON'T SEE THEM!"
Twilight Rant : I never thought Meyer's writing was really all that great. But it's such a good way to write - creating one romantic male character and one normal totally average girl who tells the story. It's how you make the general teenage public buy your book. You write so they want to read more.
Omg, I so agree that Edward is a "creep." You either think of it as "Aw, he's so sweet and besotted with love" or "Holy cow! That's gross hacking into someone's room and watching them sleep!" I was like "That's so weird the fact he'd actually go in through the window." Apparently most people go for the first way, but I just can't see that.
But I think Jacob's just as much as a freak as Edward.
And, what on Earth is Meyer going on about in Twilight when she says no one is called Edward? Loads of people are called Edward.
And I commented on (almost) every post this week. Yay! Oh, but I forgot to add something on Bengi's - Grats on the no-more French! And even more grats on being picked for Monday.
And we had Mufti day today for old people. And we have one next week for World AIDs day.
Less than a month till Christmas. Woo hoo! Three weeks more of school!
Hope you all have a good weekend

I'm back?
I haven’t posted a blog in two days =[ I fail. I’m sorry. I was going to post one last week but blogger didn’t let me! And it was already late so I didn’t bother to fix it so lets hope that this time I can get this blog up =]
So excuse time! It was library week this week at my school to celebrate the re-opening of our library and a lot of authors came (a lot of them were political non-fiction authors) and I had to usher them during my frees and lunch and some classes and sit threw hours of boring lectures and stuff so I didn’t get any homework done during my frees and lunch which is when I usually do my homework on Monday because I have French after school and get home later than usual!
One cool author who came was Rachel Cohn and I got like an extra 20 minutes to talk to her since I work at my library and she is just so amazing! I forgot to my bring my copy of Nick&Norahs for her to sign so she gave me her copy and signed it! She is so sweet! And apparently her and David are in the movie! They’re sitting behind Nick and Norah in the restaurant scene. She said that she thought that Kat Dennings was prettier than the Norah she imagined and that the dude who plays Nick (I forgot his name) isn’t anything at all like the Nick she imagined and wanted but that he brought something of his own into the movie!
So let me answer the questions:
1. Which Hogwarts house do you think you would be in? Which is your favorite?
My favorite is Slytherin and I would be in Slytherin because they’re really cunning and I hate to admit it but all the lies I told back when I lived in Belgium to do downtown and go to parties I wasn’t allowed to were purely amazing and I didn’t get caught even once so that’s cunning/slyness and that’s what Slytherin is all about. And they’re really loyal, so am I and well I can be a total bitch to people who are mean to me!
2. Is there a movie soundtrack which you think is fantastic?
Well I’m guessing Musicals don’t count? So classical music soundtracks:
Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring
Pirates of the Carribean (All)
Harry Potter (All)
Non-Classical
JUNO!
Twilgiht
*I know they’re not movies but these shows have amazing music in them:
Gossip Girl
Greys Anatomy
3. Are you going to see the Twilight movie? What do you think of the previews?
NO NO NO NO NO
I am NOT paying shit for that movie!!!!! BOLT a animated DISENY (I love Disney but not a lot of movie critics do) with MILEY CYRUS and JOHN TRAVOLTA got better ratings that Twilight! All my friends said it was horrible and the previews were awful=
Say it
Vampire….She sucks at acting and is so not the Bella I imagined.
I feel very strongly about Twilight. I used to like it but I got bored during one of the guest speakers during the library thing and picked up Eclipse because it was the closest book to me and seriously DO NOT read a random book from the series because it ruins EVERYTHING!
Edward IS SUCH A CREEP! Think about it, he BREAKS in threw her window at night to watch her sleep!!!
He breaks her car so she can’t go see Jacob!
I really think that if Twilight had another authors *cough * JKR *cough * it would be so much better because the plot is really good.
I’m on Team Jacob now btw (Taylor Launter is also way hotter than Rob and I agree with Karen he is so much hotter as Edward Cullen)
Oh also I have a youtube/HP friend whom I’ve meet twice and she’s awesome her name is Kara and she has like 100 subs on youtube and she’s also part of this collab channel called thosesevengirls and she asked me to make an audition video for it and I got chosen….As Monday! So it guess Mondays will be my vlog/blog days =] it’s cool, even though it’s the only day I come home so late but after christmass break I wont have French anymore! I hope…

AHHHHHH OMFGSJDBFVNASJHBV!!!!!1
So I fail, punish as you see fit.
I actually did totally forget about doing my blog yesterday.
Then I remembered this morning but the site was down or something when I went on.
Then I had to go to the school for the matinee performance of BNW.
Then I've been battling with my passive-aggressive internet connection for the past half hour.
Quick updates:
Friday, Saturday and today were our performances of Brave New World.
I messed up a little Friday. I didn't yesterday or today, though. YAY!
Thanksgiving break is Wednesday. I still haven't done any makeup work from when I was out sick.
Hogwarts House: I've taken online quizzes, I mean a lot, a lot of quizzes, because I get bored. They've all said Hufflepuff. I agree.
Twilight: I don't really intend on seeing it, and I've never read the books. I don't know. It doesn't really seem too me. Hm.
Movie Soundtrack: Across the Universe. There are some beautiful takes on The Beatles there.
OH! And can't forget Nightmare Before Christmas. Love love love.
And I love love love you all.
Sorry for intruding on Sunday and stuff.
I'll accept your punishments ^-^

The air was soft, the stars so fine, the promise of every cobbled alley so great, that I thought I was in a dream
Really long title. Really great book. [On the Road]
This one's gonna be short.
Questions:
1. Which Hogwarts house do you think you would be in? Which is your favorite?
Hufflepuff for both. Everyone always blows them off as the lame house...but uhmm HELLO CEDRIC DIGGORY?!! :]
2. Is there a movie soundtrack which you think is fantastic?
Juno, Twilight, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and pretty much any Wes Anderson film [the Royal Tenanbaums, Darjeeling Limited, Aquatic Life, Bottle Rocket, etc]
3. Are you going to see the Twilight movie? What do you think of the previews?
I hated the previews, and even though the movie was covered in cheesiness...I still loved it. I think as long as you don't go into expecting some heartbreakingly brilliant film you can enjoy it. The fact that nearly every male character is adorable also helps <3
Currently...
listening to Kanye West's new album
feeling kind of sick, and tired
doing my algebra 2 homework
getting ready to leave for work of course
reading The Last Good Kiss
YES! The Last Good Kiss, as in the book John Green talks about often. It's really really brilliant actually, the way the author writes is really poetic in a sad, sort of Kerouac kind of way. I'm about halfway through it and I adore it.
Additionally every television show this week [the office, gossip girl, big bang theory, ugly betty] was great and happy and sweet.
I've worked 16-17 hours already this weekend, and I'm about to go work about 7 more...basically ridiculous but I'll be makin bank on Friday when I get paiddd.
Well darlings I suppose that's about it, hope everyone is well.
xo

"'Tis the Season to be Sick"
Oof, I've really sucked at comment replying this week. Though I noticed there haven't been many posts either.
Mel: I hope you get better, unless you are better already. And I love the Curse of the Wererabbit! Oh, you're such a good student. I wish I were as studious as you (I'm really not at all).
Tyler: (To the subject thing) Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The only problem is is that I don't particularly hate/enjoy anything. Apart from the fact I like all of the creative subjects, but I don't think I want to do like five hundred pages of coursework! Also, I'm excited about the Twilight soundtrack too! Yay! Friendship bracelets always break, it kind of sucks. I usually just end up tying them to my pencil case or something. Thirteen hours of sleep! I envy you!
Lysky: Oh! I do that to! Like when you get really excited and merge words together! Your blog was short, but wasn't too boring. Mine are usually worse, haha.
Chelsea: Oof, yeah, the trailers pretty muched killed Twilight for me. But it's hard to cast Bells/Ed when so many people interpret the book differently. I guess it's interesting to see what the casting crew thought of them.
But I'm ill today. Thankfully we had a half day, so I basically just came home and slept for four hours. Yay.
This week hasn't really been that well for me. I found out I did absolutely awful in loads of tests. There's something about tests that just terrifies me (like by the way, I have a slight fear of exams). There's always something really stupid I do. I always cross out the right answer thinking it's wrong, and then write a wrong answer instead. I did that six times in my Physics test and lost 12%, five times in maths losing 10%. I suck, haha. Maybe I should just be one of those people who grows up to become one of those people who live on mac'n'cheese who just paints all the time.
Questions
1. Which Hogwarts house do you think you would be in? Which is your favorite?
I'm not really sure which to be in. According to Wikipedia..
"Gryffindor values courage, daring, nerve and chivalry."
People say I'm brave, but I don't really see myself as that, so not really Gryf.
"Hufflepuff values hard work, loyalty, tolerance, and fair play."
I'm an AWFUL student, but I'm loyal and fair.
"Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, wit, and wisdom."
I think I'm somewhat intelligent, definitely creative, said to have wit and no idea about wisdom.
"Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, resourcefulness."
I'm not ambitious at all!
So I guess I'll be in Huffleclaw. Of course my favourite is Gryffindor!
2. Is there a movie soundtrack which you think is fantastic?
TWILIGHT. And Juno, of course. I like quite a lot, but none are really coming to me.
3. Are you going to see the Twilight movie? What do you think of the previews?
Yes, and not sure. I don't really like the actors. Bella has a man voice and Edward looks nicer as Cedric. But I think I'll go see it anyway. I just brought Eclipse but I'm only on page 17. It's getting to that stage, for me, when it's just becoming soppy after eight hundred pages.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm ill so I think I'll go die now, haha. Oh! And! We have this vicar who's teaching us RS for a while, and he has really shiny shoes!
Hope you have a good weekend!

Another short one, I apologize.
Sorry kids, but we had a show tonight and I've got work to do and I'm tired and the boy is coming over. But I still love you.
HOGWARTS HOUSE - Oh, I'm totally a Gryffindor. And I don't just say that because its my favorite, I really actually am.
Uh, what were the other questions...Oh!
MOVIE SOUNDTRACK - I've been listening to Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist a lot lately. But I also love the Garden State soundtrack, the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, the Boondock Saints soundtrack, and lots of musicals. :)
TWILIGHT - I will, at some point. I'm actually a little worried that they're going to completely butcher it, plus I've totally fallen out of the hype of the series. But I'll still see it eventually, probably over Thanksgiving break.
Anyways. Eclipsed opened on tuesday night and is going really well - hopefully some much bigger and more responsive audiences over the weekend. Yesterday was Jordan and I's one year anniversary, so we blew off all our work for presents and playtime. :) We'll be formally going out and celebrating after the show ends on Sunday, but for now we just don't really have time for dates. Ah well.
Okay, well, I'm escaping to go take a shower and get some work done and try and get some sleep. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Nerdfighterlike
Surprisingly this wasn't plan. My computer is on shuffle and this just so happened to be the song on which is stopped.
:D I love Hank's cd. I got it Monday. When I met John and Hank Green ^^ It was soo much fun. I have videos on my computer. I'll edit soon and upload them on the youtube. I haven't gotten to it yet with Beauty and the Beast rehearsals. So much dancing! :D It's way fun though. Most of the time. Today, not so much. It was at first, but then I started feeling sick, and it slowly got worse and worse until I was literally laying on the stage wishing for it to be over. And of course when you want something to be over it drags on for forever and a day.
But yeah! Nerdfighter tour was awesome! I talked soo fast when I met them because I was way excited. But they talk fast too, so I guess they can translate "HimynameisAlyssaandyou'reawesome."
I also met some awesome people. Me and Addy thought we were alone, but we aren't! So now I'm conversing with fellow Kansas nerdfighters. Which is pretty cool. Nice people :] Which isn't surprising.
Besides that? Not much has really been happening. Just rehearsals basically. They own my life. Which is better than outback owning my life.
1. Which Hogwarts house do you think you would be in? Which is your favorite?
Probably Ravenclaw. I'm smart :]
2. Is there a movie soundtrack which you think is fantastic?
Yes. Garden state. I love the movie and the soundtrack. Also Juno.
3. Are you going to see the Twilight movie? What do you think of the previews?
Yes I am, I liked the first book... mostly. I think the previews could've been better, but they weren't horrible. But yeah, my ticket was already purchased from me I guess. :D So I'll be seeing it Friday. I'll post my thoughts on it next week. And I'll try not to include spoilers. I hate those.
So yeah. This is a small post, but ugh... I'm boring :D
Enjoy the rest of your week girls!

and when you're feeling empty, keep me in your memory
Ohh, just listening to the TWILIGHT SOUNDTRACK. <3
Its rather good, but some of the songs [like the linkin park one from the title^^^ could go better with different books..ahem...new moon HELLO]
But anywho, this week has been rather fantastic. Compared to the stress of last week it was just very chill. No tests, no papers due [okay there was one due, but I completely forgot...and the teacher's gonna except it Monday so I'm alright], and I found out I totally aced all my tests and papers from the week before! Also only have to work on Thursday made everything a little easier.
I spent most of the week making friendship bracelets for random people and I'm still working on a few, it just sort of reminded me of being little and how making them was more fun than getting them and wearing them until they just fell off and idk. Some things are so simple they just make me really happy.
This weekend was spent working...like seriously all I did was eat, watch a little television, work, and sleep. It is a little tiring [I have to work tonight as well...] and there's been some slight drama with the managers tightening up on the rules and such, but I've become such good friends with everyone now it's not so bad. I love just about everyone there and everyone looks out for each other.
Back to Twilight, I'm still trying desperately to get my parents to let me see the midnight showing...but if I can't I'm sure I could find someone to come see it with me next weekend. The soundtrack is really good, and Robert Pattinson [aka Edward] sings two of the songs on it, his voice is this crazy cool mix of like Bob Dylan, BB King, John Legend and awesome. Both songs are sort bluesy and folky and amazing. Ahh I just love gorgeous boys with gorgeous voices. [even though seeing the previews, I think I'll like him more as Cedric Diggory]
I also got the Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist soundtrack, it's a great movie and I'll hopefully be reading the book soon. That soundtrack is very...me. I love pretty much every single song.
Well I'm off to write an essay about charity work that I was supposed to write last week. Here's some questions:
1. Which Hogwarts house do you think you would be in? Which is your favorite?
2. Is there a movie soundtrack which you think is fantastic?
3. Are you going to see the Twilight movie? What do you think of the previews?
Today is awesome because I slept for thirteen hours.
Today I feel tired...somehow?

'Tis the Season to be Sick
So, I'm in the hospital again. Good job, me.
Thankfully it's nowhere near as long as it was when I was here back in April for 3 weeks. If all goes according to plan, I should be out of here by Tuesday or Wednesday.
And that way I'll still be able to be in the play.
Worst. Timing. Ever.
Today, due to my being hospitalized, I'm missing our big 10 of 12 rehearsal for Brave New World. Which I am terribly mad about. This is, like, the rehearsal, and if you miss it then you're off the show. Thankfully, I'm exempt from that. But either way, I feel notsome about it.
But it's not all bad, I guess. Better to get this out of the way now so I can get better and be able to perform well then to put it off and be the most pathetic sickly looking Dr. Shaw in the history of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World as dramatized by David Rogers.
And, after the 10 if 12 is over for the day, my boyfriend (he's the warden in the show) is going to come up and visit me, and he's bringing Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Wererabbit, and it makes me giddier than all of us assembled together at a Nerdfighter event with the Green brothers.
Since I've been here I've come to appreciate irony a bit. For instance, I'm a doctor in the play, and here I am all sick and whatnot.
Also, hospitals are the worst place to get any good solid sleep in. Weird, huh?
Okay, so, there were questions.
I'm not much of a studier, at all. If I feel like I'm not really grasping the concept of a particular thing on which I'm being tested, then I'll go back and review it and try to make sense of it, but otherwise if I feel I have a good stance on it then I forgo studying all together. I'm a bad example. But I test pretty well.
And for choosing classes, I look for both classes I enjoy and that will be of use to me at the same time. And classes that I need for graduation, and prerequisite for classes I want to take in the future. Leaving freshman year and picking classes for sophomore year, I made the mistake of choosing 3 electives and accidentally leaving out one core class, but my guidance counselor made the mistake of not pointing it out to me. So I pay for it this year by being in a Chemistry class with a bunch of underclassmen. Eh well.
Additionally I'm starting to tweak about college. Two more years. Oh Jesus.
Okay well I'll end this here. Hope everyone's has a good week to come.

"It's a race! It's a race! I hope I win!"
From the amazing film Rat Race.
So this week had been absoutely exhausting for me. It's basically been test week since reports are due out next week (eek). Yesterday was the worst, (a whole day of tests - Physics, Maths, ICT and Geography). I hope I didn't do too badly, but it will be a while until I get my results back. I know I did well in French (73%, which is good. For me in French) and ICT (91% with the pass mark of 75%). The ICT was some qualification thing, and I was so happy I passed.
There was this one question on it where it said "Enter the word "fair" on the left of "testing"". Hey guess what, I entered it on the RIGHT, because I'm an idiot. And you can't change your answer either, so when I realised I had done it wrong, I immediately mouthed (you can't speak in tests) "CRAP." Ah, well. There's 3% out of the window.
That's the sort of stupid things I do in tests. Other things like that are I cross out the right answer. I don't know, it's my natural stupidity.
Also, I never revise for tests because laziness overpowers me. It's a bad habit, so my question to you is what motivates you to revise, if you do.
Enough with the tests. We had netball today (lacrosse season is over :(). Managed to score three goals, yay. I never knew I could hold a ball without dropping it, let alone throw it in some strings tied together!
Oh, and the fingerprint system is annoying me. The little box thing where you put your finger on hates me.
It's my friend's birthday tomorrow. She's going to TGI Friday. Yaaay. (That wasn't sarcastic or anything, I just elongated the yay).
Also, I almost forgot to post today. But I remembered!
Oh, and one small thing, I'd like your advice on (you don't have to give it, but like the revision question, it'd be nice if you answered): When you picked/have to pick subjects to take, how do you pick? Do you pick the ones you're good at or the ones you enjoy? Like when you pick subjects for public exams.
Urgh, I feel bad that my posts are always so boring, haha. I might do an almost-purely-picture blog next week.
Hope you have a good weekend and week :)

Its my turn to be sick.
Yeah...I'm sick. Just a cold, its that time of year. I hate it.
Mostly because I simply do not have TIME to be sick. Eclipsed opens on Tuesday. I can't afford to miss class, and I'm already not writing my journal for my lit class today. I've got to work all day on Saturday. I've just got too much going on to be sick right now.
But in other news:

Yay! Man, I had SO much fun. The reason I'm on the phone is because I was calling my friend Aaren because she couldn't come with us, and we just had bad picture timing. Haha. But then Hank and John both talked to her on the phone, and she almost had a heart attack. It was hilarious.
Well, I'm going to have to write more on this later, because I'm exhausted [even though I've already slept for 12 hours, damn sickness] and I'm going back to bed until the boy brings me lunch. :) I hope you all are doing better than I am, and have a fabulous weekend!

pressed for time
Even without a job I am amazed with how little time I have. I'm way frustrated right now though. I'm in this Advanced Repertory Theater group and we wear jumpsuits and it's tradition to decorate, buuuut I haven't washed mine because I passed out at eight yesterday after call backs and auditions for more plays [more about that below] and so now I have to wash and decorate that damn thing before tomorrow morning. AND I have A.R.T. rehearsal from seven to nine. That is the most inconvenient time they could've chosen. But. Whatever. I guess it's necessary. We open tomorrow. If I wasn't annoyed I would be excited.
Besides that? I made Beauty and the Beast! No idea what I'm doing yet. I'm just chorus... but I don't know if that makes me dancing silverwear... or what? But I'll tell you what, being dancing silverwear is way better than rolling silverwear at Outback.
Which I'm on a 'leave of absence' for. I just found out today though that I won't be able to work until January 27th... so I think I'm officially quitting. I can't decide whether to call in and face the wrath of Karie and/or Jeremy or just never pick up and never show up... which would be inconvienent seeing as they have my tips for Monday...
Neatless to say, I'm never going back there again. Ugh.
I think after this weekend my mood will pick up marvously. I have the A.R.T. show tomorrow, friday, and saturday, but then that's done and all I have to really worry about it Beauty rehearsal.
Oh and November 17th... I get to see John/ Hank Green! I am remendously excited! :] I found out that there are a suprising about of nerdfighters at North. I had no idea. One of them I was even an aquaintance with. I brought it up to him and he was like "I love them!" so it's pretty cool connecting to people I didn't think I had much in common with.
And then there's some Twilight party November 15th at borders. I don't know much about it. My friend does though, and she's taking me. So that should be fun as well. And then of course the movie itself. I think the midnight show is all sold out here... but there's always the next day or something like that. I'm pretty excited. I love the paramore music video for it. If you haven't seen it, look it up. [it's not on youtube. it is on paramore's website though] And if you want to download it
http://66.7.195.213/~everglow/videos/displayimage.php?album=search&cat=0&pos=0
that's the place to do it.
I literally just found that link because I have nothing better to do while waiting to flip laundry.
Well... there's really not much else to talk about. My life has been drama drama drama... as in theater. Not rumours. Thank God.
Oh! I did find a new band to love too. They're called the Cab. Beautiful. Here's a video if you're looking for new and good music.
Well! Enjoy the rest of your week girlies!

Oh! I did find a new band to love too. They're called the Cab. Beautiful. Here's a video if you're looking for new and good music.
Well! Enjoy the rest of your week girlies!

"Those are Grandma's Cookies"
and Grandma would never hurt you.
Yes! I finished Paper Towns last night! Oh my goodness, it was so fantastic. It just added to the week of awesomeness, which is great since I had a weekend of not-so-awesomeness this past one.
This week is awesome because...
1. My mom is letting me at least talk to Sean now. Like, she brought it up and she's fine with it. Yay!
2. The Fall Out Boy Secret Shows [namely the one here that was tonight] got postponed for Pete and Ashlee's baby. I never thought i'd be so happy a Simpson would reproduce! haha. But I wasn't going to be able to go on the fact that I'm grounded, but now I may!
3. The midnight showing of Twilight next week...My parents might actually let me go. OH MY GOD.
4. I kind of was having this thing where I was worried that my friends didn't care about me, but they do! I know that sounds stupid, but I really was having an AWFUL weekend and I questioned a lot of things.
5. My boyfriend is going into the studio today and tomorrow to record with his new project. I'll post the myspace link once he gets the songs back. It's like acousticy-pop. Super cute. :D Believe me, I'll be posting it everywhere. haha.
But yeah girls, this week is awesome. And it's all thanks to my friend Andrew who gave me this super sweet pep talk the other night which motivated me to finish Paper Towns [I hadn't finished because last week I had 4 projects due!] and that just started a whole chain of great events. =] Yay for the power of John Green and the Nerdfighters.
Weddings:The last wedding I went to was my grandparents' re-marriage [like they got married to each other again, super cute] and that was 9 years ago. Haha. And before that it was my mom and my step dad's wedding which was 11 years ago, so I haven't been to any really. I know Tyler goes to a million, though. And that is why I am planning my wedding to be A LOT less tacky. With like, GOOD food [Chinese actually :D] and what-not. Yeah.
Holiday:Christmas for obvious reasons, and for this year, Christmas Eve is the last day I'm grounded so WOOOO.
Okay girls, well I've got to get going to school. I hope everyone has similarly awesome weeks because we deserve it. :D

coconut curry vegetables
So today is my 17th birthday. I'm really excited to be 17...but I'm gonna be doing a lot of stuff today [hopefully] so I just thought I'd post a bit now and then finish it later, just wanted to let everyone know I didn't forget it just might be around like 7ish central US time.
Just for fun:
Things you can do in Missouri once you turn 17...
1. See R rated movies [eh...haha..uhm...err]
2. Have sex. [yay?]
3. Be out whenever you want [except that you can't drive whenever you want until you're 18]
4. Quit school [without parental consent]
5. Move out of your parents' house.
6. Be tried as an adult in court. [yay again?]
7. Work at pet stores. [whhaa?]
Basically I'm an "adult" in Missouri, but there are still a bunch of age restrictions. So basically since I work at a movie theater and already see R rated movies and I don't really have a set curfew as long as my parents know where I am and when I'll be home and I don't really wanna do anything else on that list....this birthday is kind of lame. But 17 sounds so much better than 16 right?
And next year is 18! That's a big one! :DDD yay.
Ps... if you come up with anything else I'm legal to do, lemme know!
________________________________________________________________
This week was insanely hectic, with two three page papers, lots of work, other lengthy homework, and three tests in one day. But thankfully it is over and overall it appears that I had much sucess. My lit teacher loved my wedding paper, and I managed A's on at least two of my tests.
We also had a half day on Friday so people could attend the state volleyball games...but I had to work and they were like...four hours away so I opted not to go.
Quick Summary of the Weekend:
Friday
-half day
-sick
-nap
-work
-sleep
Saturday
-work
-crazy busy
-went out to eat with some friends
-got ice cream
-loitered at my workplace
-saw a movie
-talked with work friends a bit
-recieved lots of late night birthday texts
Sunday
-slept in
-went to see an action/abstraction exhibit at the art museum
-ate delicious indian food
-watched fight club
-did my algebra homework
Soo basically my birthday was pretty good. My friend Kelly and I are now owners of a fake pack of cigarettes so we can go on fake cigarette breaks at work. :DDD I am really excited that Obama won the presidency, and I'm glad people [at least people at my school/work] have stopped being so angry about it. I was actually a little surprised that he won by such a landslide...I think in my state it was almost 50/50.
Nonetheless I cannnot wait to see what he's going to do in office...it feels like something huge should be happening but I realize it's probably going to be a slow change...ugh.
Oh! I met and hugged and got books signed by John and Hank Green.
It was seriously one of the best days of my life.
I drove there with my hilarious/awkward friends Kelly and Myles. It was one of those drives where you're laughing so much you don't need music...
Then we got a decent seat in the middle and I almost had a fangirl moment when they walked in. I got a box of peeps thrown right to me from Hank. It was just kind of great because even though Myles and Kelly aren't exactly "nerdfighters" they still seemed to enjoy it and they were nice enough to wait for me in the huuuuge line to get my books signed. I have yet to upload the pictures but I'll put them up to my facebook later.
Alright well I need to get ready for school [technically I'm cheating and posting this Monday morning...] but I hope everyone's week is swell. <3
Today is awesome because Monday and this weekend were awesome.
I feel...great. :DDD
and sooo mature.
yay 17

Well, Ever Since You Told Me That You Love Me, I'm a Nut I'm a Nut.
Tiny Tim. Genius with a ukelele.
Anyway, not much has been going on lately. My week's generally been pretty good, I guess. I accidentally missed a rehearsal on Wednesday, but our director wasn't really upset with me or anything. I didn't even know I was supposed to be there that day, really. But I've been feeling kind of down and sluggish lately, and it's rather apparent, so she just said that it was no big and it was okay that I took a day to kind of rest up. Which isn't really what happened, but that works, I guess.
I've been trying all week to get a flu vaccine but I don't think the universe wants me to get one. I've gone to the fire department and CVS and Walgreens and they've all said that I have to be 18. CMS or whoever took my records from our primary care doctor without our knowing it, and the doc ran out anyway, so that was out. Also, I've gone down to the health department twice already and they had conveniently closed for flu shots about 10 prior to my arriving there both times. So I have to go back next Wednesday. It's so obnoxious. I'm the last person who needs to get the flu, especially now since I've got so much on my plate. But, enough of my rambling.
Uhh yeah. Not too much else has been happening other than my quest for the Holy Grail of a flu shot, so I guess I'll just go on to questions.
Weddings: Personally, I've only ever been to one wedding, in which I was flower girl. I think I was about 8 or something. Maybe younger. But it was cool. It was my aunt and uncle and they had it on the beach at nighttime. But that really the only experience I have with weddings. I don't believe I'd be a fan of church weddings, though. I know I don't want to get married in a church. I think outdoorsy would be more me. But yeah.
Selling books at John's events: Well, the one I went to was during the Paper Towns tour, and it was in a Barnes and Nobles, so yeah, they sold his books there. But the PT tour is over now and it's on to the Tour de Nerdfighting, so I'm not totally sure. I suppose they'd inevitably be there if the event was at a book store, but idk.
Favorite holiday and why??: It's a three-way tie. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I absolutely love Halloween. It's so much fun dressing up and getting to play around and have fun. I was a vampire this year (or vampiress? Not sure.) It was really cool though, I had the clip in fangs and everything. I didn't trick-or-treat this year, though. But I did go to a Halloween party at my friends house and played SNES and watched crazy gory horror sci-fi movies and eat spiral ham and bacon-wrapped scallops, because that's how you eat on H'ween at teh Holbrook residence lol. Thanksgiving is mostly for the food, honestly. None of our family besides my parents and sisters live here in Florida, so it's always just us, and sometimes I end up at at a friends house later. Either way, what ends up happening is that we always get enough food to feed half the city, so we end up having Thanksgiving twice a day for lunch and dinner for the next 2 weeks. Which is fine by me, because I'm thoroughly addicted to candied yams and marshmallows and canned cranberry sauce. Lastly but not least, Christmas. Usually what we do is go to Pittsburgh for the holidays for 2 weeks or so to visit my dad's side of the family, which is enormous. I seriously think they make up half the population of Pittsburgh. It's always so much fun going up there. Every day is a party, literally. We're a big party family. And of course there's the food which is reminicent of Thanksgiving, and it's always so nice being around so many people. Plus, my grandma is about a 5 minute drive from the Carnegie Museum. And I love the nature there, and the fact that it's cold, but not humid like Florida. Florida winter is always tough for me because of the humidity and it feels so much colder than it really is. Up north it's not humid and it's tolerable. Plus there's snow. Woowoo.
So, time to end my ranty blog.
Today I feel kind of bleh. Damn stomach aches.
And today is awesome because my dad took my sisters somewhere, so I have the house all to myself and I get to cuddle in bed with my kitty.
And, a question:
What does your ideal Thanksgiving meal consist of?
And what is your favorite holiday film?
I love this time of year.

"If you are happy then I am happy too"
Well aint that a cute quote. It was said by my friend :)
Sorry I haven't really commented on people's posts. I have read them all though.
Questions
Weddings
I haven't really been to many either. I don't mind them, but I always have this horrible hope that someone will shout "I OBJECT!" midway. It's awful, but it's something I always think about.
John/Hank events
Anyone want to pay for a plane ticket? ;D (I'm joking. No.)
Favorite Holiday
CHRISTMAS! Or Guy Fawkes night, but you don't celebrate that. FIREWORKS! And Christmas because of trees.. and presents.. and just cause everyone's always so happy!
And I saw High School Musical 3 last week. I haven't seen the other two, but it was definitely better than I expected. Cheesier but still better. I kept thinking "Don't burst into song, DO NOT burst into song,", but naturally they burst into a song. It is a musical after all.
Oh! And the fingerprint thing starts next week. *Squee.* We're all very excited as my school is pretty damn ancient.
We have so many tests next week :( Biology, Physics, Maths, Latin. Blah. I'll be fineee.
Oh yeah, we also had a seven minute run today. I surprisingly did better than average. It's just basically where you have to run round a netball court and count how many laps you can do.
And... yeah. Lots of fireworks have been going off recently. Erm, I don't really have anything to report back. I feel kind of bad that I haven't written any long entries recently, but I guess it's better to cut it short than let it drag on.
Hope you all have a good weekend and week :)

Oh. Dear god.
So...you know...fire alarms are a great invention and all.
But they're not so great at 8oclock in the damn morning, especially when you're sleeping over at your boyfriend's dorm and you're technically not allowed to be there until 10 so you have to climb out the window [thank god they live on the first floor] out into the 30 degree weather.
And don't even get me started on the stupidity of Berry College's dorm rules. Ugh.
So anyways, that's been my morning thus far. Actually, it wasn't all too terrible, since I've got an essay to write before my class at 12:30, and lord knows I'm the biggest procrastinator known to man. [Obviously.]
In other news, I'm crossing my fingers that rehearsal will be cancelled tomorrow so I can go see John and Hank in Alabama!! I'm pretty sure I'll be able to go, but its not a definite yet. I also don't have my copy of Katherines to take with me for John to sign...I lent it to a friend over a YEAR ago and she still hasn't read it, and I keep forgetting to go search her room to see if she even brought it back to school with her. Oh well. I'm sure signatures on Alaska, Paper Towns, and my Nerdfighter tshirt will suffice. :)
So, questions.
On Weddings - I haven't been to a large number of weddings, but I think it can go both ways - fun or excruciatingly boring. The ceremony is usually pretty standard, especially if its in a church, but receptions can be pretty fun. [coughcoughopenbarcough]
John/Hank events - Well, obviously, I haven't been yet. But I've been facebook-stalking all the pictures that are being put up, and it looks like most of them have displays of his books. And I mean...why WOULDN'T he sell his books there?
Favorite Holiday - Halloween and Christmas. Halloween I love for the costumes, I LOVE dressing up so much. Christmas is more about the atmosphere. And the food. GOD. Egg nog, anyone?
OH! I can't believe I didn't say how PSYCHED I AM THAT OBAMA IS OUR NEXT PRESIDENT!!!! I mean, do we really have to wait until January? Can't we just kick Bush out now? Come on. Its not like anybody wants Bush to stick around, I bet most of the McCain supporters wouldn't even want that. Although, I don't know, I experienced some pretty out-of-control psychotic Republicans during this election. That's what happens when you live in Georgia. Sigh.
Okay, kids. I need some coffee before I die, and I should attempt to be productive. Have a fabulous day!
