Epic Fail!

Well, maybe not quite EPIC, but you know.

Anyways, I've made a page and a half long list of things I need to remember to include in this blog. Chances are I'll still forget something...but I figured it was a good idea to go ahead and post now instead of waiting until tomorrow before work, because then I may just forget to post altogether! And we can't have that.

I think the best way to address this is to categorize by blogger first, and then do the challenges/questions.

KAREN:
--No, you're not insane. I totally didn't even post a challenge last week. I know, I fail. I'll come up with something by the time I finish this post. I hope.
--Did someone tell you the Dark Knight was BAD?!? I will assume by your mention of eye gouging that you mean violent or gory or something...to which I will say its REALLY not. I thought it was INCREDIBLE. So yeah. Let me know how you liked it. :)
--Thanks for the book recs! I've read both To Kill A Mockingbird and Catcher in the Rye, but I've heard lots of good things about Sophie's World and Jostein Gaarder in general. I haven't read any of his stuff, but I will definitely check it out! Thanks!
--Did anybody end up saying anything about the US school system? I don't recall anything being said, so I guess I'll give you a quick briefing. [As far as the grades go, at least. Don't get me started on all the issues with our education.] So you said you get the grade thing, so basically in high school 9th graders are freshmen, 10th graders are sophomores, 11th juniors, and 12 seniors. College uses freshman-senior ranks too, for 1st-4th years. Its actually determined by the number of credits you have rather than your actual year, but that's what it basically works out to. So yeah. That's pretty much it.

TYLER:
--Hahahaha. I WISH I was moving to Rome, Italy! Unfortunately, I'm just going back to Rome, Georgia. Its just a town about an hour north of Atlanta that is the home to Berry College. WAY less exciting and beautiful, although Berry's campus is pretty nice. Remind me to take some pictures when I get back for you guys.

BENJI:
-- I am IMMENSELY jealous that you met John and Hank and Maureen! GAH! Hopefully we'll all get to meet them at some point! I'm anxiously awaiting the day they say they're coming to Atlanta. Or anywhere close to here, really. I will SO be there.

MELISSA:
--One, your summer love bit totally fed the hopeless romantic in me and made me smile. Just by the way.
--Two, I don't know how on earth you managed to not see each other since MAY! OH MY GOD! I would die. I get pretty close to insanity after a week or so without seeing my boyfriend. Of course now you're going to have to keep us posted. How did you guys meet? Will you get to see him more often...ever? I hate that its because of your parents. I totally know how that goes, and it annoys me so much! But I won't get started on that.
LYSKY:
--Your Breaking Dawn video made me SO happy. That is exactly how I am when reading, especially trying to finish the last 45 pages of Breaking Dawn when my boyfriend is continually trying to distract me...

Anyways. Moving on...

CHALLENGES/QUESTIONS:
--I promise I'm getting to the room challenge. Hell, I'll take pictures of the whole campus once I get there. I'll have a few days before classes start, so I'll have some extra time to get that done.

--I know I already talked about Twilight, but I just finished Breaking Dawn yesterday, so either tonight or tomorrow I'm planning on posting a big blog about it on my personal journal. So you guys can check that out if you want. But not if you haven't read it yet!!! There will be spoilers.

--God, this pokemon business is just hard! I mean, I was sort of into it when it first came out, but I don't know that much about it anymore. But I do know that I'd totally want to be able to fly, and I'm not really much of a physical fighter, so I'd have to be able to affect my opponents in a different way. Like psychicly or something. I imagine looking sort of like a phoenix, maybe. [sidenote: did you know there is a complete list of every existing pokemon on wikipedia?! crazy.] So basically I'm trying to combine 'psychic' and 'phoenix' into a name, and I've come up with...Psynix? Or maybe you could spell it different...Synix? Sinycks? Psyenix?

--A phrase to use...hmm. That's a hard one. I like the 'Today is Awesome' idea. I was also thinking of including a 'Today I Feel'-type thing...maybe including pictures?
EXAMPLE:
Today I feel: TIRED.
I mean, I just have so many pictures I could use for this. And it doesn't have to be of yourself, necessarily. It can be of anything. I think it could be fun.
--Haiku of my favorite b2.0 video...oh dear. First of all...how am I supposed to pick a favorite?! Man. A random one that I watch ALL the time is the Curd Fighter Nert one. You know what I'm talking about? Its oldish. I don't know why I think that is so funny, but I just watch it over and over! So, here's my Curd Fighter Nert haiku:
So Curd Fighter Nert
Really owns at peeps-eating
Wait...Nerdfighter Kurt.
--Politics...Remind me to take a picture of my Obama bumper sticker. :)
--How did I find vlogbrothers? You know, I don't even remember. It was last May, I was home for the summer and hadn't found a job yet, and I was just randomly searching around youtube. I don't even remember the first video I watched, because it didn't take me long to figure out what the idea was and go back to the beginning and watch all of the videos since January. God, was that really over a year ago? Time really does fly.
--Now, my top 5 favorite albums. That is quite the question. Its rare that I actually really enjoy an artist's ENTIRE album, so these choices will be totally different from my top 5 artists or top 5 songs. Obviously. Anyways...
1)The Very Best of Frank Sinatra
--Honestly, I think this one is self-explanatory.
2)Abbey Road - The Beatles
--I knew I was definitely going to put a Beatles album on here, and although this is probably the most cliche, it is really my favorite as far as complete albums go.
3)Mr. A-Z - Jason Mraz
--Jason Mraz continually blows my mind. He's one of the most versatile artists I've ever heard! I can listen to this album all the way through several times in a row easily. 'O. Lover' and 'Please Don't Tell Her' are my current favorites.
4)X&Y - Coldplay
--It was really hard to decide between Coldplay's 4 brilliant albums, especially since I'm so addicted to Viva La Vida right now, but I really think this one is actually my favorite.
5)Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
--Of course. Argued as the best jazz album of all time. I can't disagree.
--Moving on...my funniest experience in a store? Hmm. Well, a couple of years ago I was working at Kroger for the summer as a cashier, and I got hit on by a midget. He stretched his arm up over the counter to shake my hand and everything. It was...interesting. Especially because there were 3 or 4 people in line behind him waiting for him to shut up and get out the way so they could check out. He asked me when my shift ended and I told him that I had to work late that night. I was just glad I wasn't working again the next day, just in case he decided to come back. Fortunately I never saw him again, but it was REALLY awkward.
Okay...did I get everything? Oh! I'm supposed to have a challenge, since I didn't do one last week. How about everyone draw a picture and post it. It doesn't matter what, just doodle something and post it for everyone's entertainment. Sound good? Good. Have fun, kids.

WOO! I'M NOT INSANE! *HUG* THAT'S THE FIRST TIME ANYONE'S EVER SAID THAT TO ME <3

I'm gonna write about The Dark Knight tomorrow. No one said it was bad, but a lot of people are complaining about it here in the UK.

Oh I knooow right? I had twenty pages left and I had to leave the house and I was like o_O... whhhhy? It seems like whenever something dramatic came up I'd have to leave. I finished just last night. I'm so happy.

Oh and Jason Mraz is amazing. I was really debating on putting him on my list. I'm really a fan of his live stuff.
