Twilight VS Harry Potter

Today I feel:

I found this article on mugglenet and I was wondering what you guys think about it?

It's basicaly about Twilight VS Harry Potter. How some people are scared that Twilight is taking over by taking the movie date ( I cried when I found out HBP got pushed back to summer of 2009) and now they have twi-rock. I love what Alex Carpenter said about this!

" 'Twilight' is sort of like the 'Hannah Montana' of literature," Carpenter explained to MTV News. "If you're outside the 14-to-16-year-old age range, you might listen to it, and it might get stuck in your head, but it's not good literature. It's not really enriching your life the way 'Harry Potter' might."

My question is what do you think about this?

Top 5 Albums:
All I can think of are my musicals :)
1. Spring Awakening
2. Sweeney Todd
3. Wicked
4. Les Mis
5. Avenue Q
I do listen to normal music but I can't pick so those are my favorite musical albums (I own more but those are my favorite!)
Drawing:
Trust me, you do not want to see my attempt at drawing :) I'll save you the eye sore!
Three Nerdy Books:
Does Harry Potter count? If not.
1. Catcher in the Rye
2. City of Bones
3. Farenheit 451
Clothes from any era:
I don't even have to think about it! I love Victorian dresses :) I would LOVE to wear them in public but that'd just be too embarassing.

Sorry this is so late. I was out all day at this enrollment place and on the 25th I have to go into this test to get into Strevesent (sp?) High School which is the best public school in NYC. But the thing is the test is going to have American history and Biology but in my school we didn't do American History and we got a choice between Biology and Physics and I picked physics so basically I'm screwed for the test! =/ But after that I can aply to other schools here.
Oh and we finaly found a place, but it's going to take a while to finalize everything...

so on the twilight vs harry potter question, there is no question. I might be biased because I like literally grew up with Harry Potter, but idk, Harry Potter is quoteable, admirable, and it has signifigant morals and character development and an entire world to submerge in, whereas Twilight, while fun to read, is no where near as deep and awesome...soo that's my really long answer. HP ftw.

Good luck with all the school and apartment stuff! :D

-le gasp-

Am I a loser because I'm almost 18 and I'm totally in love with Twilight? Man... I don't know. I know the character's don't have the best morals, blah blah. But the hopeless romantic in my absolutely loooves twilight.

see: Don't interupt reading time.

I really don't have a favorite between the two. I love them both. And really, Twilight has done a really good job at filling the hole left by the abscense of Harry Potter. Now I need to find something to fill the Twilight hole.

I'm ranting about Twilight... sorry. That tends to happen.

Psh, I'm 20 and I'm totally in love with Twilight!

To me, HP and Twilight are both fantastic, and also really different. Honestly, I like Stephenie Meyer's style of writing BETTER. Don't get me wrong, I've loved HP for years, but I don't know that I would say its a higher level of literature than Twilight is. I know tons of people who refer to HP as a "kids book" too.

As far as the movie dates go, I don't think it has anything to do with Twilight taking over. All the stuff I've read from the HP people talks about moving it because they'll make more money in the summer, which makes sense to me.

Mostly...I think people need to chill out and stop bashing both.

Okay. Done. :)

I'm prolly going to respond to the Harry Potter vs Twilight thing in my blog xD;

I'd *love* to see you're doodle/drawing D:

Haha. "City of Bones" in you pants and "Farenheight 451" in your pants. I don't even use Farenheight, but I think that's pretty warm.

GOOD LUCK ON THE TEST! If it makes you feel any better, no one in the UK cares about America's history, so you'll be fine :D

Grats on the place hunting
