Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain

Funnily enough, it hasn't rained here for a while. That's quote from somewhere. It's one of my favourite but I don't know the source. I think I'm going to do quotes for every title now. Just for the sake of it.

Aaaaand I meant to do this last week:
Yeah. And that's my History book in the background. I was in town with a friend, and we brought a packet of Percy Pigs from M&S. If you watch Charlieissocoollike's channel. It it doesn't really mean anything, like it's totally random, apart from that I brought some sweets ages ago. The packet smells really strong. Like it's starting to make my whole drawer smell of sweets. And talking of sweet smells, do you ever notice that sweets have a really distinct smell? Especially Haribo. Smell the inside of a packet next time you get some :D

Nothing big has happened this week. It's the second last week before half term. Woo hoo. I sure am looking forward to two weeks of no school. But it does mean I have so many tests/assessments next week: Two German tests, Latin test, English essay, RS essay, Geography presentation, Chemistry test. Sucks.

Nothing really happened to me this week. Oh! I'm going to see The Boy In Striped Pyjamas some time soon. Has anyone else seen/read it? I seem to be getting positive feedback for both film and book so far.

Because blogs are meant to say what happened, I'll tell a story from today. If it's boring, don't blame me.

Basically, after lacrosse, we were all getting changed. And then my friend Meazy (that's her name, short for Marina) had a really bad asthma attack. Now I don't know whether any of you have ever seen one, but it really is terrifying. But yea, we kind of decided we probably wanted to go get some help. So basically, no one really had shoes on to go run and get Sister Court (the school nurse). But my friend and I like sprinted across a giant field, with no shoes, to the nurse's room. But she wasn't in there. Seriously. What is the point of having a nurse when she's never there to help? So we were running around to check the canteen (this was twenty minutes into lunch), and then she [Court] slowly walks around the corner.

Slowly. Like really slowly.

And because we're out of breath, all we manage to say is "Meazychangingroomsasthma." And then Sister Court, says slowly "Okay, dears. Thank you for telling me. Tell her I'll be there soon." That is what we got for sprinting as fast as we could in mud. So we sprint back, and tell Meazy "Sistercourtwalkinginhaler." When Sister Court appears, like FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER NOT EXAGGERATING, we're all basically just sitting there watching our friend gasp for air.

I know it sounds lame and all, but there you go. There's my story for the day. I should say she was okay in the end, forty five minutes later. We didn't get lunch, but I don't think any of us mattered. I think that's the thing about things like this. It really draws people together, even the new kid. In my opinion, anyway. Maybe I'm mad. But yeah. She was just really tired and "wobbly" for the rest of the day.

Challenges

Palin/Biden: I'm not following it. I guess it's sort of asking you about the pressure on Brown. But not really because the President of the States makes such a big influence on the whole world. And no one really cares about Brown anyway.

Gay Marriage: Sure why not.

Nail Polish Colour: I don't actually wear nail polish, partly due to school uniform rules (go nerds). I also bite my nails anyway. But my colour would just be glow-in-the-dark. But like in colours.

Green School?: We have an eco club. We recycle paper and try to keep light switches off. I think we're trying to be one of 200 eco all girl schools or something. Wednesday was Girls Go Green day, I think.

Bands: Have we not had this question before? Um, let's see. Oh! Chelsea took Architecture in Helsinki, which is the band I usually suggest xD So instead, I'll suggest various songs from adverts that I like. Because I'm lame like that, y'know:

Neopolitan Dreams by Lisa Mitchell
The Chorus by Donora (this wasn't on an advert. It was on a Postsecret video)
1234 by Feist (ages ago on the iPod ad.)
You, Me and Bourgeoisie by The Submarines (another iPod ad because it's awesome.)
And the current iPod ad. I don't know who it's by but it's the "I tried to do handstands for you" song. The person I sit next to in my English class keeps singing it.

I feel like I keep cheating the questions. Like they're not really bands, they're just random songs. Oh! And also, "When I'm Sixty-Four" (Beatles) is also such a sweet song. I randomly heard it today. And I randomly put it in this blog. I guess the last "new" thing I added to my iPod was a bunch of Nocturnes (Chopin in particular, I think). I think it's weird when people say "I don't like classical music." It's like saying "I don't like pop music." It's such a wide spectrum I think it'd be hard to not find something. However, another rant for another time.

Gym Excuses: Damn, I thought of a really good one a couple of weeks ago. Everyone used to forget their mouthguard in hockey so they didn't have to play. But I never really "bunk" PE because I don't like doing cover work (PE theory, basically). :D I'm going to come back to this eventually when I remember it. Sorry :(

And I'm not going to do a challenge this week because I'm too sleepy, haha. But, if you do happen to have a packet of sweets (Sweets, not chocolate), do smell the inside and tell me if you agree with my theory thats sweets do have a weird smell.

Have a good weekend. I am busheddd.

P.S. I'm really tired so I don't know if this blog makes sense. Sorry if it doesn't!

Oh dear god I forgot to say The Submarines! They're also brilliant.

And isn't Architecture in Helsinki fabulous? Totally a great choice for getting yourself out a music rut. :)

I think all nurses are like that with asthma attacks. :/

Last time I had one was in aquatics. The teacher had to escort me to the nurse in my bathing suit, during a lunch block [which means there were kids wandering the halls while I was in said bathing suit] and when I got there the nurse yelled at me for not taking care of myself. -_-; What's worse, they sent a boy to go get my clothes. And they didn't even bother putting them in a plastic bag. So he walked through the hallways with my panties >.>

I have Cystic Fibrosis, which is similar but different. The issue with breathing stands.
Personal fitness class was terrible.
